If you're like me and enjoy putting a buck or two on your favorite team, Sports InterAction is a great place to do it!
I'm not a big-time gambler by any means. But, I do like to have a little something riding on the game. I live in Oregon, so I'm able to bet on NFL games through the State Lottery. Unfortunately, NFL games are the only thing I can bet on. And the payouts the State gives is about half what you get elsewhere.
Then along came Sports InterAction. What a deal! I can still bet on NFL games. But, now I can also bet on CFL games and, more importantly, college games! Go, Ducks!
Not only can I bet on a lot more football, my favorite, but I can now drop a bet on the Trailblazers, or any other NBA team, now and then.
But, wait, there's more! Baseball. Hockey. Boxing. Golf. Tennis. Horse racing. Auto racing. But, it doesn't stop there. For you hardcore gamblers that just can't get enough, there's soccer (US and international), Rugby, Snooker, and, of course, Cricket. That's right, Cricket.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention the Special Section! For a little something different you might want to visit this area. Hillary or Lazio? Bush or Gore? How high will the Dow be at the end of the year? And who do you think is the best darter... er, dartist... uh, well, you know. Who throws darts the best. That's right, you can bet on darts! Cool!
Anyway, when I first started looking at online sports betting, the first thing I noticed was that most places have a minimum bet. Some of them insist on aminimum of $10 or more. Those places are not for me. Sports InterAction has a minimum, too. One whole dollar! That's right. You have to have at least 100 pennies if you want any action here!
Getting Started
To start on your trail to wealth you have to get some money into your account. The quickest ways are with a credit card or e-check. Both of these methods will be instantly processed online. If you'd rather wait, you can send a certified check, money order, or use Western Union. Right now, they have a promotion where they will credit your account an extra 10% on your initial deposit.
Placing a Bet
Now for the betting. All you have to do is go to the sport you want to bet on. Pick the game you want. Then you decide what kind of bet you want to place. You can place a straight bet, a single bet on a single event. Or, if you want a better payout, place a combination bet. That's where you place bets on up to six separate events and win only if all your bets win. Last weekend I picked the winners in three out of three NFL games and won $6.97 on a $1 bet! Pick 6 out of 6 and you could be raking in almost $50 for each buck you bet!
Other Features
From the Sports InterAction homepage you can get all the latest scores. You can get the latest sports news. And if you get confused about what's going on, hit that button in the lower righthand corner, yeah, the one that's says Live Help. Before you know it, a Sports InterAction employee will give you a quick, accurate answer to your question. They are almost as quick with their answers to questions sent by e-mail.
Almost all my experiences with Sports InterAction has been positive. There is just one area they could use some help. I just wish they could stop me from making so many silly bets!
