Very good!

I use Peapod to buy food for my father, who is 80 years old and can't be carrying bags of groceries. All I have to do is go online, log in, and click away using the list he gives me, normally they deliver everything I order and in time, the veggies are normally in good shape. Of course, I cannot buy stuff like "hand-picked, fresh strawberries grown in Southern France" or that "wonderful creamy cheese manufactured in this little town lost among the Swiss Alps" but since I dont eat that kind of food everyday Peapod works for me. I have more time and my father gets to eat.

I love this service, especially when you have a coupon for delivery. Who wouldn't have groceries DELIVERED when it costs the same as going on your own?

I have to say that my grocery store saves my list of previous purchases, so it's especially easy.

The cons here are, depending on your grocer site, the pix can take forever to load (but you can turn them OFF); and delivery times can change without notice -- or sometimes your delivery is pretty late.

This service is NOT for everyone. I would say that if you are home most days, you should try it. It's pretty easy to use, and if you get a coupoun, it can actually be CHEAPER than going to the store!

I'd advise AGAINST allowing substitutions, since you don't know what you will get then... But if you are a stay-at-home mom, or work from home, or have limited mobility for ANY reason, you might really LOVE this service!

First order was OK, it was a small order. The second order was a large order, but many of the items were left out (but charged). They delivered again the next day, but they forgot another item from that order too, ugh.

The Drivers seem stressed, the screw-ups probably aren't their faults, and the employees who pack up the orders are probably over-scheduled/ over worked too. (Trying not to believe they can't can't get an order right for any other reason).

I won't use Peapod (Stop & Shop delivery) regularly, as I would have liked..it's a great idea but the trouble of trying to get a hold of customer service on weekends (supposed to open at 7 a.m. but you just get answering machine saying that they are closed) and waiting around for first and second and third attempts at getting the order right--isn't worth it.

Probably easier to get a friend to help ya shop.

Peapod advertises in several places that they serve the Milwaukee area. Yet, when a zip code for Marquette University is entered, it always says that Peapod service has not yet arrived in your area. Is Peapod discriminating against students, ethnically diverse neighborhoods, or both????

Peapod has grown to be a very professional company that caters to busy people. Who does'nt love to shop in pajamas! They are always on time, orders are always complete unless they are out of a product, drivers are professional and it couldn't be easier to order from the web site. Thanks Peapod!

I have had better success ordering groceries delivered by Peapod in DC than by Safeway, which has the worst delivery service imaginable, but that's not saying much. Peapod's contract says they don't have to deliver during the times they "promise" to deliver during. So be prepared to wait LATE into the night for your delivery. If that doesn't bother you, you may like Peapod just fine. My food itself has been OK, but be prepared for their substitutions when an item you requested is not available. Their customer service isn't available at most times when customers need them, which is a problem.

Very convenient. Delivery person was nice and order was complete. The prices are more expensive than in the store ($4.00 for milk is a bit much). Worked great while car was in the shop, but I don't think I will use it regularly. Selection could be improved.

Peapod is so easy. My family is always on the go, and we only have one car. My husband works 40 hours a week and it's so hard to go shopping. Peopod makes it easy for me to shop for my family's needs. The only thing I wish peapod had, was more of a selection of grocery items.

The obvious benefits of peapod is the delivery of groceries and some of the convenient ways of purchasing groceries available on their website.

The downside is that they are more expensive, delivery times are estimated in chunks of hours, meaning you have to be available to receive the groceries. The seafood (salmon) was very good quality, but the vegetables have only been so-so.

The most annoying thing is that we have moved out of peapod's range and I've tried, unsuccessfully, to stop receiving their promotional e mails. I have "unsubscribed" at least 5 times now and I am still receiving E MAILS! The only way to contact them is by phone. I'm not looking forward to sitting on hold for forever just to tell them to stop sending me e mails, which probably belongs to a different department who will never get the message.
