Credit card charged, but item not shipped

I ordered a hard drive over a week ago. My credit card was promptly charged, but it hasn't shipped yet. That doesn't seem right. I've e-mailed them and asked about the status of my order and have had no reply. I've tried calling their customer service and consistently get a busy signal. I'm starting to worry that I'll never see my order. I chose this vendor because of the "trusted" vendor rating on your site. I'm not too impressed.

This Store sucks. Buyer beware. Made order for GPS unit on 9/24/07 and they charged my credit card. Two weeks later it still hadn't been shipped. Contacted store. They claimed it was a bug in the system and that my order would be shipped in 24 hours. almost a week later and no shipment. Went to dispute the order and to my surprise the link to make a dispute is no longer available. I am having to contact my credit card company to dispute the charges because this company is either incompetent or fraudulent.

BUYER BEWARE!
Worst on-line shopping experience I've ever had.
I purchased a Tom Tom GPS. The one they sent me was defective. Not only did they make me pay the shipping to return it but they only refunded my account for the sale price and not my full purchase price, saying they were not responsible for defective merchandise. I went with them initially to save $40 over Best Buy and ended up spending $100 more for nothing!

MAKE SURE IT IS THE "EXACT" ITEM YOU WANT BEFORE ORDERING

I WANTED A PLM12000EH PORTABLE A/C YOU OFFERED A PLM12000E WHICH IS A DIFFERENT UNIT AND I DID NOT REALIZE IT UNTIL AFTER I HAD ORDERED IT. AFTER SPENDING ALL MORNING CHECKING IT OUT, IT TURNS OUT ALL THAT IS DIFFERENT IS ONE HAS A HEATER AND ONE DOES NOT, SO SINCE I DO NOT NEED A HEATER IN FLORIDA, IT WORKED OUT OK, BUT NO THANKS TO YOUR INFO. THAT PLM12000E SHOULD HAVE BEEN POINTED OUT TO ME AS DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I ASKED FOR. HOME DEPOT'S INFO WAS EXACT AND CORRECT. WHEN I REALIZED THAT I HAD ORDERED THE WRONG ITEM, I TRIED TO CONTACT THE STORE TO CANCEL THE ORDER AND OF COURSE, BEING A WEEKEND, THEY WERE NOT OPEN. I HAVE SINCE LEARNED THAT THE UNIT I DID ORDER WILL WORK WITH SOME ADDITIONAL PARTS FROM THE MANUFACTURER, SO I WILL LET THE ORDER PROCEED, AND I WILL ADD THE PARTS WHEN IT ARRIVES.

After trying to order a Konica-Minolta Z5 from another supposedly highly-rated vendor and finding the camera went from "in-stock" to "backordered" when I tried to order only the camera instead of a package containing a bunch of over-priced accessories, I placed my on-line order with Comp-U-Plus. I was pleasantly surprised to get an e-mail confirming my order followed by another e-mail with the tracking number--no call back to try and sell me additional items. The camera arrived in perfect condition a couple of days later. I got the camera I wanted quickly with no hassles.
My mailing address is a PO Box which seems to create problems for some on-line stores even though I have my physical address on record with my CC company. Comp-U-Plus handled it without a problem or treating me like a criminal. I wish all of my on-line purchases could be so straightforward.
I highly recommend Comp-U-Plus for their customer excellent service and low prices.

Delivery arrived on time but watch out for extra shipping costs if you add on any extras. I added a 128 memory card and a warranty and the shipping cost went up from $14.95 to $28.55,$13.60 extra for putting a digital card and warranty in the same package. THIS STINKS

Unethical customer treatment, bait and switch,

I ordered a camera and memory card. first i was notified that some of my credit card info was not correct. i looked at my invoice and every thing was ok. when i called they said "everything was ok." a few days later i was notified that they didn't have the camera in stock after all, even though it had it listed as "in stock". They directed me to purchases some other cameras. A real "bait-and-switch" deal. This company is a bad one. My opinion is to stay away!!!!!

Bad experience. Said ships within 1-2 days, didn't ship for 3 days. Paid for 2nd day shipping, they shipped Ground. The email notification comes in so late, you can't alert them until the next day. Notified them, they said they would ship one that night for next day, they missed that delivery too. Both showed up after I had left for Christmas vacation. They charged for the second unit even though they said they wouldn't. I've contacted customer support and still have not received a shipping slip to return the second unit. I've notified my credit card company that I'm disputing the charge. Who knows what will happen next

Terrible Experience!!! Purchase somewhere else!!!

Be careful!!! They shipped me an I-River H10 that had a defective battery. They wouldn't make it right. They wanted me to pay to ship the defective one back to them and pay for them to ship a working one to me. So I sent it back for a refund and I don't get my shipping back plus I had to pay to ship the defective player back to them!
I contacted I-River to see if they could help me and they said could not help me as I did not buy it from them!
I will never again purchase an item from Comp-U-Plus Online Store, nor will I ever again purchase an I-River product. AND I intend to send notice of this experience to everyone I know.

Nasty, nasty, nasty!

It's all about customer service, isn't it? The product was out of stock when I ordered it, but nobody informed me it would be delayed and I had hoped to take it on a trip; I had to call them to find out where it was. When it finally arrived it was defective and customer service throughout the return and exchange process was pure torture. I sent emails and left voice mails, with no response. The sales people, who'd been my best friends before I made the purchase, had not the least interest in helping me get a customer service connection, and the customer service people treated me as if this disaster had somehow been my fault. They lectured me, criticized me, and finally gave me an argument about refunding shipping charges. Pay a little extra and buy directly from the manufacturer!

I ordered GPS system online, got email confirmation immediately. After a few days, I hadn't heard anything concerning my order. I went back to their web site to check the status. It said they were waiting on more information. I called and was put on hold for a total of 25 minutes before I was finally told that they had decided not to ship to the address where I was currently living because it was not the same as my credit card address. The web site allowed me to specify a separate shipping address, but they wouldn't honor it.

I contacted Comp-U-Plus and was provided instructions on how to contact the manufacturer to arrange for a replacement and was sent a copy of the original invoice in a matter of 2 minutes. I placed my order on a Friday morning at 3AM Eastern time and My order was shipped out Friday afternoon and delivered to my address on the West Coast on Monday. I was notified on separate emails that my order was received, shipped, and was given tracking information. Their item pricing and shipping were reasonable for the item I purchased. This is great customer service.

Things arrived on-time and in good condition. I needed to call and change the credit card designator at one point, but had no troubles getting through and routed to the correct department. The products arrived ontime and in excellent condition. I really appreciated the values as well. By offering a number of products at lower prices I was able to do most of my shopping here as opposed to ordering from multiple stores, with increased shipping costs.

I placed the order on the morning of 30th of June at around 9:00 am. If the order had gone out that day, I would have received the camera via 2-day air by the 2nd and thus would have had the camera for my wife's birthday on the fourth. As it was, the camera was sent to UPS late on the 1st and so I did not receive it until the 6th, due to the holiday weekend. I had assumed the order would have been processed the same day. Other than that, this transaction was fine. Camera received in perfect condition.
