As a former casino executive (15 yrs.) from Las Vegas, I relocated to the Metro Detroit Michigan area 6 years ago. I helped open one of the 3 Detroit casinos, of which my husband is still employed. After a year, I decided to give up my casino career & enjoy being home for the children; we also decided to have our 4th child. Being home, I was looking for something to do that would provide adult interaction, bring in a little extra income, & allow me to do it my way, on my own time & terms: thus AVON entered the picture. I started out selling traditionally door-to-door, & quickly decided I wanted to make a new career out of this beauty business. I took advantage of every opportunity AVON offered, & also started building an AVON team of my own by helping others start their own AVON businesses.
Fast forward 6 years, & now I am the owner of a full service AVON retail brick n mortar store, a nationwide recruiter with a team of 150 that includes 13 states, & I also service clients in more then half of the 50 states with my online AVON website/store. There is truly nothing better then being your own boss, & I wouldn't trade it for the world. I am the last person who would have thought I would have become the "AVON Lady", but today there is so much more then what it was when your mother had the AVON lady visit, now if we choose, we are truly business owners!
