My name is CeCe Sweet and I am the mother of two fine young men. My oldest son is graduating from college witha degree in mental health. My youngest son is in high school and has a dream of being a chef. Because of his disability he cannot get a GED and thus cannot go to culinary arts school. At the present time he goes to Young Chef's Academy in their Senior Chef Program and is having an excellent experience there.
My life is interesting. I have been through hell and back and have survived challenges that would have probably killed other people.
My most trying challenge is trying to help my autistic son get the skills and education that he needs to become a productive person in today's world. This is very trying to me because it seems that the world is stacked against people with disabilities.
Even so, I love those teens and adults with disabilities and I long to hang out with them all of the time because they see the world differently. I'm very active in Special Olympics on the county and state level as a coach for bocce ball and basketball skills.
I'm not ashamed as well to say that I am a true Christian. I do not play around when it comes to the truth of the Word of God. I love Jesus Christ and He is the Lord and Savior of my life. Without Him I am absolutely nothing.
I have a strict Christian World View, and I am horrified at the state of our nation in regards to the original Christian values that were set up by our Founding Fathers. They would come out their graves if they could see what is happening in this world.
It makes me think about the movie, Time Changer, which has a professor going from late 1800s into today's world where he is horrified at the state of the morality of our nation and the seeker friendly nature of the church (instead of preaching the Gospel). I really believe our Founding Fathers would be shocked to see what has happend to our government in regards to the Constitution.
I love baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs and the Atlanta Braves. I love LSU football and bleed purple and gold.
I love to vegetable garden and find that to be a great stress reliever.
I could rattle on forever, but I won't. I hope you enjoy the articles here. I'm not here near as much as I was in the past, but I do come by occastionally.
