Who I Read
I mostly read reviews in the Computer Hardware and Software, and Electronics categories. I also like to keep track of some of my favorite authors that I have come across during my time here. I keep track of my favorite authors using the EpiGadgets Review Reader, so if you don't see me on your email alert list I may still be following your reviews over at EpiGadgets. I follow all members who have placed me on their WOT for a period of time to see if I am interested in continuing to follow their reviews and especially to see if they are qualified for my WOT. I also try to follow members who follow my reviews, and others who read my reviews frequently.

My Trust Philosophy
I only trust people who I feel have been making a great contribution to the community over an extended period of time. That means both writing high quality reviews and frequently reading and rating other members. I will never trust a member who I have not already been following for several weeks, so if you add me to your WOT don't expect me to add you right away. I will however put you on my reading list and check out some of your older reviews. If you are writing quality reviews and are actively rating other members, and you continue to do so over an extended period of time than it is likely that you will end up on my WOT eventually as well.

My Rating Philosophy
For the most part I rate according to Epinions guidelines. If a review has some useful information, it is Somewhat Helpful. If it has a good deal of useful info, it is Helpful. If it goes above and beyond, explaining everything that I might want to know about the product, then it is Very Helpful. It's as simple as that. I will however rate a review lower if it is poorly formatted and sloppily written. We may not be making millions publishing our reviews here, but I still try to maintain a sense of professionalism, and I expect the same from reviews that I am reading. If I feel that my rating may not be completely self-explanatory (in otherwords the author may not understand why I rated the way I did) I always try to leave a comment explaining what I thought could have been improved. If I didn't leave a comment and you have a question about a rating that I have given, please don't hesitate to drop me an email at the address above. I am always happy to answer and questions and of course to take another look at a review I have rated, especially if it has been updated.

As for Express Reviews, I will pretty much give it a Show rating unless it is off-topic or contains unsuitable content. I try to resist my urge to downrate Express Reviews for lack of formatting since a quick little blurb is likely helpful to consumers even if it is in all caps.
