A native of Alabama's Gulf Coast, Michelle Richmond currently lives in San Francisco, where she teaches writing at the college and private level. Her fiction has appeared in a number of literary journals and anthologies, and her story collection, The Girl in the Fallaway Dress, is forthcoming from The University of Massachusetts Press. If she were the final contestant on Survivor, she would use her cool million (half a million after taxes) to travel, make frivolous purchases at bookstores, and sample new and exciting flavors of ice cream.
