Unfortunately, I think this commercial doesn't well portray it's purpose. Sure, it is quite obvious that the reviewer is not happy with the product, but how well is a commercial going to be received by the viewing public at large if it portrays someone shooting a product.
Violence of this nature is not well received in any way shape or form. Our society has become so afraid of the possibilities or road rage and irate customers that this could pose an un-warranted threat to some.
Perhaps offering an explanation directly noting that the shooting of the product is in reaction to his dissatisfaction. His few points he shared were well applicable, and helpful information. There was little to no positives which are eagerly asked for (both sides) from epinions, so this may not best represent Epinions as a site and it's content.
I do give the creator of the blip some points for creativity... and guts (since he obviously no longer has an iMac that he could pawn off to someone through auctions...) I just think that Epinions bears a much higher quality then was portrayed by this piece.
