Nestled in the mountains in CT....it's a bit of a hike to get there....BUT!...worth the trip! Mohegan Sun is a beautiful place! They have a very rustic decor with an Indian flavor, very warm and comfortable! It is after all, on an Indian Reservation.
We found the people who work there to be very pleasant and for the most part, there to serve you! Like most casinos the energy there is very ALIVE! Mohegan Sun is much larger than it appears, layed out in 4 sections, Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall!
In the casino you will find the usual array of slot machines and gambling tables and lots of them! The slot machines pay pretty well here too! Better, I am told by friends than Foxwood. There is an area with a large choice of eateries. You're sure to find one that matches your culinary desires or price bracket. They all seemed within reason price-wise to me!
They are in the midst of building a hotel on the property....but for right now there are none. Although, only a short car ride away you can find plenty of places to stay if you want to go there for longer than just a day-trip!
Mohegan Sun is a fun day away from home and with the right friends.....a good laugh! Try it!!!! & GOOD LUCK!
