| AndyMonin1's Full Review: MGM Grand |
I have been to Vegas on 5 occassions and have stayed in different places every time. This has got to be the worst (Right up there with the Luxor and Excalibur). My complaints are many and they have nothing to do with the fact that we were there during the Lenox Lewis/Evander Holyfield sham. First, the casino is huge. Actually, huge is the understatement of the year. This place is gargantuan!!! You walk and walk and walk and walk. I was there for a bachelor party but I felt as though I had walked in the Jerry Lewis marathon (I know it's a telethon). The layout of the casino is confusing and frustrating. Different wings of the casino look like other areas of the casino. If you are going there with a large group I highly recommend staying some place else. Unless you and your group are extremely organized, you will lose someone. And not just for an hour or two --I mean forever!!!! Another complaint is that the MGM is not accessible to other casinos. You are cabbing it if you want to go to another casino. The MGM is on the strip but that doesn't mean you are close to other casinos. You are locked in that place. If you are interested in staying on the strip I recommend Bally's, Hilton Flamingo, Caesars, Treasure Island, The Mirage,etc... Finally, there is not a variety of tables at The MGM. A lot of $10 tables and very few $5's. If you don't take my advice then get ready for a workout. Both on your wallet and your shoes.
