| chewychin's Full Review: Nike Air Terra Humara |
I have been a long time fan of the Air Terra Humara line. I own two pairs
of the first generation and two pairs of the second generation. The Humara has always had the same air max cushioning as the Air Max Triax
series with an trail shoe upper and sole. This Years model of the Humara also has the same Air Max cushioning in the rear of the shoe and air cushioning in the front of the shoe as in the previous model. The only difference that I have noticed in the shoe is the sole. The sole no longer looks like a typical trail running shoe but now it tends to look more like a typical running shoe with a smoother bottom as opposed to the more textured grip in most trail shoes, ie the older versions of the Humara. So when I purchased this shoe I was sort of disappointed with them. But the same cushioning, provided by the Air Max Triax, is still a enjoyable constant and overall the shoe is good for running off road and on track but perhaps cross country may not be the strong point. For those who are looking for a mud/cross country shoe may consider the older version of the Humara, which some stores still carry. Nike also carries other trail shoes that are pretty good, such as the Nike Air GoaTek and others. But if you are looking for an entry level trail shoe that isn't too expensive and you don't plan on being in the mud then this shoe is for you.
