The CM-1100 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope provides a significant 21% increase in light gathering ability over 10" telescopes and 89% more than that of 8" telescopes. And its expectations will be more than met by the visual and photographic performance of the CM-1100 telescope. Both axes are driven by a 5.6" diameter, 180-tooth gear. The R.A. and DEC. assemblies incorporate pre-loaded bearings and the diameter of the laser engraved setting circles is 5.25". In addition, the CM-1100 fearures 1" solid centerless shafts in both axes. It also has =" diameter precision worm gears for super accurate drive accuracy. Further, the CM-1100 can become a computerized telescope with the simple addition of Celestron?s optional Advanced Astro Master. |
