Pros: Olympic Restaurant Cons: The DJ In The Nightclub
I sailed on the Millennium October 28th, 2001. This was a 7 night Eastern Caribbean Cruise roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale. The ports included San Juan, St. Thomas, Dominican Republic, and Nassau.
Pros: wonderful facilities, crew was friendly, entertainers were good, a lot to do Cons: too many people on board, expensive shore excursions
I have fallen in love with cruising after my many cruises abroad, most with Holland America. I, unlike many other people though, won't go on a specific ship because I like it. When I travel I want to see things so I will take whatever ship has the best...
Pros: Very Elegant, Excellent Crew, the Olympic Restaurant Cons: Only one week long
OK, for those of you who follow all my epinions, you guys must think I have a ton of money to spend on cruise ships, or just nutty to the point that I love to be at sea. Well you all partly right. Being 29, this is my 6th cruise. Why so many? I have...
Pros: Beautiful new ship, good size cabins, excellent spa and health club, wonderful, attentive service Cons: Buffet restaurant menu not very imaginative, expensive spa treatments, 8am check-out time
I know, I know - I am supposed to write about the Celebrity Millennium in this section, but at 'press time' no separate category for the Infinity exists. But because the two ships are so similar, I thought much of the information would be valuable to...

Pros: Luxurious and comfortable Cons: Not a party ship -- is that a con?
You’ve heard cruise ships called “floating hotels?” Well, I’d call the Millennium a floating Ritz Carlton. With 10 cruises under my belt, I can easily say that this ship places first on my list for beauty and comfort. Yet, we paid no more than a typical...
Pros: Great crew, great food, spectacular once-in-lifetime ports. Cons: Shore excursions were expensive (to be expected).

I have been on over 100 cruise ships and I thought that the Celebrity Millennium was one of the best!
(And I've sailed on everything from Radisson and Crystal to Carnival and Royal Caribbean.)
Pros: Being on the Ocean.
Finding food was always easy. Cons: I'm not in favor of vacations ending
Ship: It's old enough to show some wear but it's a pretty ship. There were a lot of cool places to hang out. Our favorite was the solarium with the warm salt water pool and hot tubs. It was adult only. Second favorite was our cabin and third was the ...

The brand new Millennium is a bust. The most unfriendly ship I have ever sailed on (in 54 cruises). The crew acted as if the passengers were an annoyance. We traveled with two other couples on this 10 day Mediterranean cruise. We all stayed in...
Pros: Outstanding service and food. Cons: Guest Relations, if you needed them, was difficult to understand, given dialect.
The Alaskan cruise, via the Celebrity Millenium, was excellent. The food was very good, and the employees were very friendly and responsive. The only issue that I had was the Guest Relations area. The employee that we encountered was very difficult to understand (dialect) and she was visibly impatient with us in attempting to understand what she was saying. (She obviously could not reconcile that SHE was the impediment to communication.) All other staff members were great. They work so hard and for so many hours without displaying any level of apathy or uncaring. It was quite the opposite... they were so gracious and they went out of their way to please and serve. The embarkation AND the disembarkation process went extremely smooth and it was incredibly organized. With almost 2,000 guests aboard, one would have never thought it possible to have such an excellent process. Our stateroom was impeccable, with the veranda. All guests were treated like royalty!
Celebrity Millennium - a disappointing cruise overall by simpogal ,Sep 03 '05
Pros: Service was very good. Cons: overrated cruise ship
I was quite disappointed with the Celebrity Millennium on my Mediterranean cruise in August , 2005:
1. Ship is "tired" and old, needs renovating
2. Cabin is not clean. Very dusty when we checked in, hair on the balcony floor not vacuum cleaned. I suspect there are bed mites since my allergies act up and my nose stuffed up every night I sleep. (could be the pillows)
3. The wet towels supplied after an excursion when we reboard the ship smelled foul.
4. There was only a midnight one night out of the 12 night cruise, no 24 buffet . Only you can have after 10 pm is pizza or pasta.
5. The air arrangement is the worst by the Cruise company. They bought the cheapest ticket, and charged us premium, and then routed us through 3 countries before getting us to the destination when there are direct flights available. Our luggage was of course lost when we arrived at the port to board the ship.
6.We paid the extra charge to the Olympic restaurant - food was worse than the main restaurant. .Not worth to pay the extra.
