Pros: None Cons: Everything
I have never been more dissatisfied with any service or product until the last time I crossed paths with United Airlines. Two years ago for my wedding, 12 members of my wife's family flew to Los Angeles and from there to Tucson, all the way from Brazil...

Pros: Virgin Atlantic rocked! I got to try them out and am trying to get my company to make it their preferred airline. Cons: Repeatedly deceived, F- for customer service.
I flew business class SFO<=>LON and was BUMPED from my return flight for overbooking (yes, I arrived on time at the airport). I can't believe that I (well, my client) had paid around seven thousand dollars for a ticket, and was bumped, not to...

Pros: You may get a good deal Cons: Not very considerate to passengers with children or disabled passengers
Okay first of all... I am a mother of two. My latest venture was on United airlines. Which used be my ultimate favorite as a kid. they gave me those little pin on flight wings and always served the best food.
The last time i flew was alone...

Pros: None whatsoever Cons: You name it -- United has got it
My family (hubby, daughter and I) traveled on United for the Fourth of July weekend to visit my parents back in the Midwest. A quick trip from D.C. to Chicago. Pretty simple, right? Yeah, think again.
First of all, our flight was delayed....

Pros: None Cons: Horrible customer service
I had eleven family members from Brazil come to my wedding in Arizona. Upon their return, their United Airlines flight was delayed (due to mechanical problems) and that could cause my family to miss their connection in Los Angeles. I was very concerned...

Pros: Economy plus- 5 more inches of legroom Cons: Delays
Ok. I know that United has had major problems this summer. All this talk about delays and flight cancellations really had me worried that we would have problems with our trip to Vancouver. But I have to say, it was a smooth trip with little delay and no...

Pros: Smiles and courtesy (mostly), food, clean and new equipment Cons: superficiality of compassion, poor problem handling
I have flown on United Airlines many times, and it seems like United tries very hard to be a "nice" airline. They're sort of like a car mechanic who's nice to you when you bring the car in to him, but he really doesn't care that much about...

Pros: none Cons: everything
I have never been treated so poorly as I was when flying United. This happened a couple of years ago, and when writing to the airlines I got no response so now I will voice this to the world. We had a bad storm and we called before going to the...

Pros: everything Cons: nothing
Last August my husbands family & I had an unplanned flight to Arizona. The flight attendants we very nice, I had not flown in 13 years. The trip was rather long and we had a layover in Denver. The flight attendants made a not very pleasurable trip,...

Pros: None Cons: They are very rude and their policies are extremely inconvenient, inflexible, and customer-unfriendly
I am a business owner and I recently bought a ticket for a contract worker. That itself was a major hassle because, per United's policy, if you are not the passenger you have to go to the local ticket office and do it in person.
When I...

Pros: Efficient service, real ticketing system, economy plus Cons: It's a plane ride
While on a business trip, I got stuck overnight in Detroit due to bad weather. The next day, the no-frills carrier I was on managed to get us to their hub in Chicago, but we missed our connecting flight, and their attempt to fix it was not acceptable in...

Pros: On time, major corporation, no delays, polite staff. Cons: Connections in Chicago for Minneapolis flights.
I love United!!! Currently I have about 45,000 frequent flier miles with them, so you know I have flown them a lot. I live in Minneapolis, where Northworst is the main carrier, so flights in United always connect in Chicago. That is OK though, it is...

Pros: Only marginally better than Southwest Airlines with respect to seating assignments Cons: NO Advanced Reserved Seating Assignments, Frequent departure time changes, Frequent tardiness in departure, A LOT of walking if flying out of LAX
I should emphasize that the following applies only to Shuttle by United flights and NOT to regular United Airlines flights.
I used to be a long-time United Airlines (UAL) customer mostly between Los Angeles (LAX) and Sacramento (SMF). Then...

Pros: don't fly mechanically troubled planes Cons: never on-time w/ San Francisco fog
In my younger days, I spent what seemed like most of my life either on a plane or waiting to get on one. I usually stick to American, United and Northwest because, despite my experience, my knuckles are white from gripping the seat rest. Now, thankfully,...

Pros: Reliable and versatile, free movies Cons: What? I have to get you ANOTHER drink?
United is different from other airlines. First of all, it is one of the few carriers to provide complimentary, in-seat entertainment on both domestic and over-seas flights. There is generally a decent choice of movies and television programming....
