Stabbed someone. When in Rome, right? You mean...not do as them then, but now? Uh-oh--SpaghettiO's!

by ChromeKiller Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Aug 16 '05
Pros: Awesome sound design, neat visuals, and some decent gameplay.
Cons: Gameplay isn't really innovative. The battle system could also be better.
Beware the ides of March, for this day may be your last. Julius Caesar was a man of great power, respect, and dignity. Historically, Julius Caesar was the idealized personality of Rome way, way, way back. Having been hailed as a paramount leader both ...

Pros: Diverse 2 Character Gameplay, Captivating Storyline, Amazing Cut-Scenes and Overall Graphics
Cons: Extremely Brutal and Violent, Shaky Fighting Controls at time, Long at Times

Shadow of Rome

by jjayooee , Jun 05 '05
Pros: Good gladiator game
Cons: Bad stealth game. High level of difficulty.
When I first bought this game I wasn’t too sure of what to expect. I usually don’t do much research on Playstation 2 games because I’m mainly an Xbox player. But, when I saw Shadow of Rome at my local Electronics Boutique for fifteen bucks, I ...

When In Rome (KILL PEOPLE)!

by wickedklown510 , Feb 27 '05
Pros: Lots of gore, very fast and exciting at times
Cons: Could use a Multi-Player Mode, some of the missions for Octavianus slow the game
Introduction Shadow of Rome is a great game. You have the ability to sever limbs and beat people with them. As you can probably guess the games gore factor is extremely high, thus the game is not suitable for younger gamers. Older gamers on the ...

Pros: story, graphics, gameplay & replay value- wicked good time

This Game is Dynamite
by spakjb ,Feb 22 '05
Pros: Sweeeet
Cons: Some of the stealth tastes like it grazed in an onion patch
What are you gonna do today? Play Shadow of Rome, Gosh! SOR is a great concept and really puts itself out there to hit or miss with players by switching characters and styles of play… lucky, SOR hits the mark like a spiked mallet to the forehead. This game kicked my behind harder than a lesson at Rex Kwan Do and I have to recommend it to all of you. If this game were a chicken it would have large talons so get it on like D-Qwon, the graphics are awe inspiring, well the sequences are, the battle scenes are above average and just sneaking around Rome is pretty detailed but I really enjoyed the gameplay in general. But this game is all about the gore, blood, violence and that is where it is best at captivating attention and imagination. The only downside is that with all the untamed animals there were no Ligers to fend off or 2-player mode to give a little more replay value. Napoleon, even if you can’t afford the fun-pack save up for SOR, it sure beats tetherball.
