PNY Quadro® FX 1100, (128 MB) AGP Video Card

Pros: Great 2D/3D CAD CAM performance
Cons: AGP 8X

I use this card with my AutoCAD workstation. It drastically increased the speed of rendering and modeling. Has a great set of drivers. I am currently using it with two DVI digital Flat panel monitors.

It benchmarked higher than the more expensive ATI OpenGL cards with twice as much memory. Runs very quiet / cool. Also has S-Video output for TV / Projector connection.

Wait for the PCI Express version to come out soon (Quadro 1300)

Pros: faster than you would imagine for 128mb
Cons: none

i THOUGHT this was a run of the mill 'not quite the top shelf but fairly good video offering' ---> boy was i wrong

it ab-sol-UTELY kains!! even on non opteron, non dual core beasts .. perhaps more clearly seen here in fact.

reminds me of the days when the 3dfx voodoo chipset was like 2 or 3 processor upgrades -where upgrading from a pentium 133 to even a pentium 233 MMX along with the voodoo card in both examples, output was near identical - ie the Card was the Engine
