Pros: Small, Light, Comfortable To Wear Cons: Not Durable, Small Amount Of Memory, Poorly Made Headphones
I am a bit of a health nut. I go to the gym 5 days a week, most days twice a day, (no I'm not addicted I just do my cardio work out in the morning and then weight training in the afternoon). So I wanted an MP3 player that was small, portable, light, and ...
Pros: Low cost, met all my needs Cons: Eat Buds hurt, doesn’t remember location when turned off.
This is what I told the sales person at Circuit City. I have never downloaded MP3s off the Internet so I dont need a 20 GIG hard drive . I download files from iTunes® so I would love something that was iTunes® compatible but that isnt ...
Pros: Sleek, portable, nice controls and external design Cons: Software does not recognize the player, making it unusable.
I'll try to be as positive as possible about this little number, but eventually you'll get the idea that I don't recommend it. The BM was inexpensive at $89 on sale, certainly cheaper than most of the other MP3 players on the rack. Having had good ...
Pros: It is easy to turn on. Cons: Everything else: Earbuds hurt, FM tuner is useless, Mp3 mode is basic at best.
This player does what it says it does: it plays mp3s. It also includes basic functions such as shuffle and repeat. However, it lacks other useful functions like resume. The player always turns on in mp3 mode. So if you turn it off while listening to the ...
Pros: Small, sleek looking, requires 1 battery Cons: cheappy quality, not the best player
I decided that carrying around a bulky CD player that skipped when I moved it was getting old. So I decided to look into buying a new mp3 player. Not only did I look at price, but I looked at features. I wanted a small, highly portable, mp3 player ...
Pros: Inexpensive Basic player if you don't need a 20 GB player. Good performance. Cons: Playback is either in sequential order, or random shuttle mode, or repeated 1 or all.
I bought this Memorex MMP8500 128 MB MP3/WMA player on sale at Target. It was the most inexpensive player they sold. I bought it since it accepts an external SD memory card, up to 512 MB, which I already had. The Memorex 256 MB player was higher ...
Pros: Light weight. FM tuner. Expandable memory. Cons: Operation is not intuitive. Short battery life.
It was time to replace the cassette walkman that had served me well for lo these many years. I thought I'd make the leap into mp3 land. One thing though....I needed a player with an FM tuner. I'm the Operations Manager at our radio station, and I need ...
Pros: FM tuner, 128MB of memory built in (upgradeable), light weight. Cons: FM tuner will lose a station if you breath too hard.
I found this player (sealed) in the clearance bin at Bigg's here in Cincinnati. It was clearanced priced at $25... how could I pass it up? For all of the features it has - arm band, single AAA battery, FM tuner, upgradeable memory, how can you really complain for the price. As far as the software not recognizing it, with XP and Media Player, you don't need the software - XP recognized it as external storage as soon as it was plugged in. I have found it in the $40 range at Buy.com and every once in a while at Overstock... just waiting for the 60GB iPods to get into my price range.
Easy to use...but much to be desired on volume by jteeler ,Aug 03 '05
Pros: Ease of use. Built in memory. Cons: Volume level.
I purchased this MP3 player a couple of months ago. The original 128 storage was sufficient originally. I've since upgraded to 512 and loving the available memory. However, the built in volume isn't nearly enough. I've purchased headphones and that makes nearly enough. The provided ear buds just didn't provide enough isolation from outside noise.
I love the player but the sound is my only complaint. For indoor listening, you could be happy with this. For commuting or with city sounds this will be disappointing and unfortunately there's no downloads available to improve this.
Pros: Expansion by SD card
compact and light
good bat life Cons: FM tuner setup
I am in general agreement that some navigation and programing is difficult but this machine with its SD memory slot has some terrific advantages since it can increase to 512meg and have no moving parts for high activity sports nuts like me. It is really a jogger/bike riders machine for the all day activity. Just cycle the SD from your camera and you are set for a min of 16 hours of music. Just stay clear of those cable modems. The equalizer is a joke but this is an activity mp3 not an ipod and you don't have to shell out nearly as much money. It is much more dependent on your PC being the library and for you to program your listening day accordingly, but once you get used to it, it is a gem and really out of the way.
Pros: Lot's of features, Cheap, FM Cons: Difficult controls, poorly designed. Didn't sound that good. Wasn't very loud.
I used this for 3 hours filled it with music, dropped it 1 time and broke it. I liked all the features it came with - sd slot, FM tuner, arm band, case. I wish it lasted longer. Circuit City took it back- no questions asked (Thank YOU!)
3 days trying to make it work (and I am a computer programmer). Software is bad and does very little. The unit displays songs in random order. It keeps crashing in the middle of downloading songs. I have to keep rebooting the computer as the driver provided is very buggy (and no update I could find on the internet). It's bad. You will hate it. Don't buy it.
This Little Power House Rocks....Very Cool MP3 by theinfoguru ,Dec 25 '03
Pros: Light as Air. Very compact. Great sound clarity earbuds. EZ to set up Cons: slightly difficult to set up the FM radio stations.
This was so simple to install the software, and load the songs. It treats the player like a removable disk so there are no driver hassles. This thing is so light it feels like it is floating. Only ONE battery to get this thing going for 10 hours.
I got mine for as a gift and can't quit listening to it. The ear buds provide excellent sound clarity and no distortion.
The buttons provide easy song navigation. I can store over 4 hours of music with the 128K memory.
For Amateurs! Not the music hungry! by buehlerduo ,Apr 27 '05
Pros: Great simple starter mp3 player! Cons: Simple mp3 player if you want any more!
Let's start off by saying this player is NOT WORTHY of experienced, high-tech, absurd-amounts-of-music-hungry people. However, this is a good starter mp3 player for anyone wanting something pretty easy. Great for fitness uses (a morning power walk and such). The ear buds seem fine to me...and I like how they are fabric coated (or something!). Comes with a protective case and armband too! Very easy to load the music. Love that it has a SD/MMC expansion slot so you can have more music if you wish! Cool blue screen. I like that you can listen to the radio too, just in case you get sick of the songs you haven't replaced yet! Auto programming radio presets feature is pretty sweet. Shuffle will cycle through all music, including what is on your expansion card.
