Pros: Great price, combo DVD player/CD burner is awesome Cons: Missing Sony Memory stick, heavy to lug around.
I shopped long and hard for a laptop for home use. I have a Dell laptop at work that has been dependable but not spectacular. I run my homebanking, use my Handspring and do some word processing. My wife does word processing, plays games and connects to...
Pros: awesome battery life; great feature list Cons: no IR port
This is the best notebook I've owned (4th). The feature list provides almost everything you could want. The lack of the IR port is a small thing, but it's the only thing keeping me from saying this notebook is perfect. Everything worked perfectly right...
Pros: Durable and capable, with plenty of extras and lots of potential. Cons: Minor problem with battery connection; that hinky TouchPad
After several years of toting a notebook computer while on the road, I recently found myself bereft. Well, I was bereft of the job that had supplied the computer, but what the heck - I'm in good company. My first inclination was to set up my own ...
Pros: Great Price, Great Software, Great product (No, I won't say great again...lol) Cons: Ports...they replace any mouse or keyboard port with usb ports.
I have always been a sony fan. Since I got my vaio, I am even a larger fan! I have had my vaio for ...
Pros: Great features for a decent price Cons: No Memory Stick slot
This is my first laptop (after having tried a Compaq 2105US for a few days). The FR130 is a brand new model, and features slightly different (and better) styling than last year's models. This model has 3 USB 2.0 ports, in addition to the ubiquitous...
Pros: Great hardware for the price. Cons: Software package is lacking.
I purchased this laptop at Bestbuy, because of their rebate and free financing offer. I price shopped and could not find another laptop with comparable hardware at anywhere near the cost.
The Athlon processor is a powerhouse, comparable or...
Pros: Tons of extras (both software and hardware). Decent build, styling and layout. Cons: Generic problem with Alps Touch Pad not fixed by Sony. Very Poor tech support.
At first sight, the FR-130 wins praises and kudos. Solid construction, sober styling that blends int ...
Pros: User friendly, fast Cons: short battery life, hot bottom, horrible touchpad/mouse
For a while I was completely satisfied with this computer. I am a graduate student and use it to record data, write protocols, prepare presentations... pretty basic stuff. I was able to use it daily with no complaints, other than an incredibly touchy ...
Most reliable computer I have owned by airborne140 ,Nov 13 '03
Pros: Never locked up once, quick, excellent display, cool software included Cons: can't hibernate (or is that a software problem?)
Never locked up (or had other technical problems) once in the year i have owned it. With the Compaqs and HPs I have owned in the past, I didn't know a computer could be both quick, handle many simultaneous apps, and not lock up. It works as good as the day I bought it. I would recommend this VAIO, or and VAIO product, to anyone.
Pros: Excelent desktop replacement, 3 usb ports, really strong. Cons: no wifi, no DVD burning and only 16MB on video memory
I have had this laptop for over a year and it's been a great machine.
3 USB ports are great, I have 2 PCMICIA cards with it, 2 extra usb ports and Wifi. Haven't had one problem with it, I installed Suse and MDK and runs great with linux. It's great to have the video output. Ready to plug to your TV and watch DVDs
