Pros: Styling, features, cleaning effectiveness, oversize stainless tub, touch pad controls. Cons: Door gasket.
Blabber
Very often, good products are rare as hen's teeth. For you non-agrarian types, hens have fewer teeth than horses have toes. But that's not to say there aren't a few diamonds in the coal bucket . . . you just sometimes...
Pros: Large capacity, versatile loading, and very quiet. Cons: Too many wash cycles
My review is on the current Elite Model 665 with the controls on the top edge of the door. This model is made by Bosch,or so I was told, one of the top rated dishwashers by CR. It is similar in construction and features to the Elite model with controls...
Pros: Quiet, large capacity, loading flexibility, visible timer, programmable delay Cons: Silverware basket in annoying location
Having spent six years using an incredibly loud Hotpoint dishwasher with little more than an on/off switch, I was an easy sell when the Sears guy recommended the Kenmore Elite. My first priority was quiet operation, but I didn't want to pay the $1000+ ...
Pros: Noise, Appearance, Ease of Use, Loading Flexibility Cons: Cycle length, expensive replacement parts
Recently, my wife and I bought our first house. We searched high and low, and finally found one that not only had all of the major repairs done in the last 5 years (new roof, hot water heater, furnace, central air, etc.) but it came with all of the...
Pros: Quiet and Stylish Cons: Need to have Sheila Shine on hand to maintain exterior.
My husband and I just built a new home. We were determining to make this our Dream Home. My husband is in the Solid Surface Counter Top Business, so he wanted to have our Kitchen perfect. We are very delighted with the appliances we decided to purchase....
Pros: Cleans very well, more energy efficient than previous generation, looks good. Cons: Can't handle tall stemware
Last October (2000), we replaced our 15-year old KitchenAid with a Sears Kenmore Elite built-in dishwasher (model number 15989). It wasn't our first choice, but it's what we ended up with after a minor hassle I'll relate later to those who are...
Pros: Great at getting dishes sparkling clean. Cons: Could use a better disposal.
Sears Kenmore Quiet Supreme Dishwasher
When we lost our dishwasher(s) 8 years ago due to school, social activities and jobs, we decided we had to get a new one or mom and dad would be doing the dishes. We didn't have time either. (This may be...
Pros: Easy to use, nice features, flush controls, child lock Cons: Extra utensil basket in a bad location.
Kenmore Ultra Wash 600 with Quiet Guard
We bought this product in July 1999 when our old dishwasher finally died. We really didn't do shopping comparisons with major brands, we knew we wanted to go to Sears and get a Kenmore. So our only...
Pros: Lots of options- can do anything Cons: Must read the manual to figure it all out; Don't lose it!!
We bought the mid-range Kenmore Dishwasher- No. 665-15812990. In layman's terms, that is Sears five cycle unit, that retails for around 469, and was on sale for 399. We also bought the $99 installation, and wanted white, which is $20 extra. The total...
Pros: quiet, , well worth the money spent Cons: there is not one that i could find
Kenmore Model number is 16665, and would recommend it to anyone. It is one of the most reliable dishwashers to be found. I use to sell them to make my living through Sears, but did not take there word as they push Kenmore. I wanted to find out for...
There are two models that this fits the first is model #15969 and the second is model # 15989 both being Kenmore. Now the most significant difference between the two is the #15989 is equiped with the QuietGuard Insulation Elite Plus where #15969 only...
Pros: Relatively quiet. Cleans well. Connects to the garbage disposal. Cons: Long cycle. Mugs don't fit well in it. Breaks down.
We bought our Kenmore Elite dishwasher, model 665 15939 December 29th, 2000. The following August, thankfully while still under warranty, the control panel stopped working. This required two trips by the repairman: One to diagnose, the other to fix...
Pros: Delayed Wash Feature, Hard Food Disposal, top rack is removable Cons: Poor Quality - repairs required with light use
We purchased our Kenmore dishwasher (model#665.15919001) because of a great review on Consumer Reports and some really neat features. It's a good dishwasher - the hard food disposal is great, so is the delayed wash feature. But was it worth the extra...
Pros: Four cycles and three water levels get my dishes really clean Cons: None
The Kenmore Elite is my third Kenmore dishwasher and by far the best yet. It cost a little more than the rest of them, but it is well worth the money.
This dishwasher has four wash cycles and three heat options. It also has three levels of water,...
Pros: Loads of great features, ease of use, stainless interior. Cons: A little on the pricey side.
My wife and I purchased the Kenmore Elite model 16912 a month ago and I wanted to let those considering this model know how it stacks up. Coming from a GE "contractor grade" model, we have a lot to be pleased with in the new machine.
...
Pros: Quiet, sleek, Functional Cons: could have been a few bucks cheaper
Talk about quiet! I never knew a dishwasher could be so quiet. This is the best dishwasher I have ever owned. The last one I owned was in the house when we bought it in December, and I knew right away it had to GO. So, after shopping around and comparing...
Pros: Quiet Cons: It doesn't clean. The door seal comes loose about once a week, and leaks.
We bought a dishwasher from Sears a few years back, that had a plastic tub, that was guaranteed to never leak. it cleaned great, was quiet, and did everything we wanted it to.
Then one day, the heating element melted a hole in the tub.
Sears...
This dishwasher was purchased at out local Sears store about 3 months ago and I really did not plan to buy anything but a Maytag as I had recently heard from a friend how great they were. I talked with the salesman and we discussed all the features of...
Pros: Looks and works great for 6 months Cons: After that it falls apart
We purchased this dishwasher 5 years ago. It certainly worked well for the first 9 months. Since then, a fuse in the panel blew out, which was $75, the gasket is coming off so the dishwasher leaks, the heating coil no longer works so it doesn't dry the ...
I bought this for my last month, as our old dishwasher ( and I use the term loosely) finally went to meet its maker. So off to Sears for a replacement. Well after much wrangling we (meaning my wife) decided to get the Kenmore Elite. This baby is made by...
Pros: dependable, cleans fairly well... Cons: little flaws and aggravations ....
You'll notice that I didn't post a "love it" or a "hate it" section for this product. That was on purpose. It depends on what day you ask me.For the most part, our dishwasher has performed well on a daily basis. There are days...
Pros: Cleans well, holds good size load Cons: Finish high maintenance
I love my washer. It is a good washer. It looks good when it is clean. It looks bad when it is not.
It holds a good size load. It cleans very well. It scrubs my little pots and it cleans residue free my little glasses.
But why, oh why, does...
quiet? very. frustrating? very. by portlandmom ,Nov 04 '06
Pros: Quiet Cons: Faulty gasket design
We liked the large stainless tub and the food grinder, but the tub gasket has been a problem from the beginning. It comes loose regularly and then the door won't close. It comes out on the top and catches on the top shelf when it is slid out, sometimes coming off completely. I have repeatedly cleaned it (a nasty job) and reinstalled, but the problem persists causing occasional leaks and maintenance before every load. Argh!
Poor Quality, design, service by jomed ,Nov 29 '09
Pros: It does an adequate job of cleaning dishes... buty it should Cons: Poor quality, parts are not available, poor design
The pump went on my three year old Kenmore and it will take two weeks to get the part. The racks are already rusting and this machine is not used hard, there is only two of us! The handle design is poor, if your hands are wet it's difficult to open. I do not know who make this for Sears but they really skimped. NO MORE KENMORE
