Pros: Very inexpensive, digital readout, small size Cons: At this price, none
The jWin JX-M14 is a pocket sized radio that features AM, FM and 7 shortwave bands. It retails for around $30. Amazingly, it can be had for around $10 with a little shopping. The radio is in a stylish silver tone. The case has rounded corners and ...
Pros: Compact, good sensitivity, accurate frequency readout, nifty tilt stand, clear sound, wakeup timer. Cons: Strange controls, thin sound, no light on display, not really digital.
My Radio Shack DX-351 finally bit the dust. It still works but the speaker sounds very distorted. But what to replace it with? I was in a local store that sells hardware, car parts, and toys and spotted the jWIN JX-M14 in the radio aisle. It was ...
Pros: Surprisingly good SW pull Cons: not complete range from 3 to 30 MHz

Pros: Reasonable performance, now very cheap Cons: There's not much to say against this at its price.
After writing this, I discovered that this is actually the same radio as the JWIN JX-M14. You can see a review of that at http://www.radiointel.com/revi

Also, this radio is now available for much less than I mention in the ...
This radio plays and plays. I just got this radio today and after the first set of AA's and about 6+ hours, it still has plenty of juice to spare!
Reception is good to excellent with its built-in antenna, very sensitive, very precise and about as good as it gets for a package this size.
The time function and wake up alarm is a cool feature too.
No, it doesn't compare to a radio that costs 5 or 10 times more, but for its caliber and bang for buck ratio it may very well be the best of the tiny shortwaves!
Very Good Radio For The Money by oldmanbill ,Jan 27 '04
Pros: Great Radio, Nice LCD Display Cons: Does Not Cover 75 & 80 Meter Bands
I bought this radio for $14.99 on an impulse, I have quite a few radios and find this one very good.
The only thing it does not cover is the 75 and 80 meter bands, my Grundig FR-200 does, but the grundig does not have a digital display.
This radio is very sensitive, just about as good as my RS DX-440.
The jwin JX-M14 is a great little radio.
