Pros: The location, comfortable rooms... Cons: Rooms could be a bit bigger.
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans’ French Quarter from February 9-12, 2005 while I attended a conference and he enjoyed a short vacation. This was our first visit to Louisiana and although our choice of ...
Pros: Location, Price, Large Room, Several Amenities Cons: Parking, lighting in the room
Over my ten years of visiting the Big Easy, I have stayed at several hotels and believe myself to be a pretty good judge of staying in the great city of New Orleans. I understand the parking situations (a lot of times your car is parked way away from the ...
Pros: Elegant, inexpensive, great service, best location Cons: Room was too hot at night; valet parking seems expensive
I recently stayed at the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel in New Orleans with three of my friends for the weekend. We found the hotel online and were impressed by the combination of location, price, and apparently quality. I had found a promotional ...

Pros: Great location (Bourbon & Canal);
Recent remodel;
Helpful staff Cons: Overpriced bar & restaurant
The Crowne Plaza Astor is the fifth New Orleans hotel we've stayed in, and in almost all respects it was the most satisfactory. The hotel is a recent renovation, using the old shell of a 14-story building, but with new rooms, furniture, etc. Good quality...
Pros: location Cons: horrid customer service
misleading description of services
I'd stayed at this hotel twice before Katrina and had generally had a good experience (good location, clean, decent service). When I returned this past weekend for a conference, I was horribly disappointed. Although the hotel advertises internet access ...
Great Hotel, Parking not great by benmont1981 ,Feb 04 '09
Pros: Great location on Canal St. and Bourbon. Brennan's Restraunt, Bourbon House, in the lobby. Cons: Parking was a pain. Other then that everything was good.
We stayed at the Astor and had a good stay, but parking was expensive, $30 a night, However, the last two days we parked at a gargage on Iberville right behind the Astor. The garage only charges $15 a night and it is a valet garage operated 24/7.
They told us they had a coupon for the deal on their website, so we thought we would let you all know.
