Pros: Easy to use, 400MHz Intel Processor, Microsoft based Software, Built-in Bluetooth and WiFi, SD Slot Cons: No MP3 or MPEG Support From The Factory
I bought this little thing for my wife but had a hard time leaving it unused in her purse. So I now use it frequently and love it. One problem with it is, If you are purchasing it to use on airplane flights it doesn't always work. I read in the manual ...
Pros: When it works it works great Cons: The screen, don't touch it because it will break.
This IPAQ was working one night and the next morning was broke. I did nothing to the unit to break it. When I asked the company if there was problems with this unit breaking they said they were having problems and working on the soultion. When I asked ...
Pros: easy to use Cons: As above. HP could use an education in customer service.
When I first started using the IPAC 4155, I thought it was great. It handled all my programs for work (with an additional card) and home. It was easy to set up and sync. It was also user friendly with easy directions on the pocket pc itself. Then, less ...
Pros: You name it. It gets an A+ in every category. Cons: ??? I haven't ever said..."I wish it had this"
This pocket pc definitely lives up to it's name. It is a true miniature pc. I have not been dissatisfied with it in any aspect. I have found it to be compatible with any application that I have wanted to run. It is great for surfing the web ...
Pros: Best Package! everything you could want in the smallest Pocket PC on the market! Cons: no compact flash... well you cant have everything!
I originally owned a Palm m100, then an M505, then an IPAQ 1945. now i sold my 1945 to buy this 4155. There is so much you can do with this thing, its not even funny. everything from DIVX to Linux. At first i thought that 64mb would be enough. a few ...
Pros: Great wireless features Cons: Fragile, poorly-engineered display with zero support from HP or its retailers
I was loving the features of this product - Bluetooth, WiFi, etc. when one day I pulled it out of my pocket to find a crack across the screen (and a garbled display). I had not subjected it to undue stress or abuse, it just had gotten twisted in my ...
Pros: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 64,000 Color Screen, Size (Slim), Battery Life, Price Cons: Cradle is kind of cheap, back casing seems cheap, difficult to sync sometimes
This is the third (well, fourth after I'm done with this review) handheld device I have purchased. My first two were both Handspring Visors, which both worked very well and did everything I ever asked of them. At the time, Palm was the main program for ...
Pros: Excellent WIFI, Very small form factor, Fast startup, easy to use Cons: Charger and sync cradle is terrible. The design was designed purposely to break.
Having used 2 different PDA's with much disappointment in the past, I did a lot of research this time around after a year hiatus from using a PDA (I was so sick and tired of the previous ones, I didn't want to see another in sight). I figured the ...
Pros: Lightweight, small, sleek, fast, Built in WiFi wireless and Bluetooth
Cons: Slightly yellowish screen, Relatively Short battery life
I have owned several PDAs since 1999, and have always being amazed by having an "almost complete" computer in my hand. I first started off a Casio Cassiopeia E-105 running Windows CE 2.0, then sold it off in eBay and got a Compaq iPAQ H3850 and my latest ...
Pros: Works well until screen breaks. Cons: Screen will break. Only a matter of time.
Worked great until one day the screen cracked by its self.
Yes it did crack by its self !
The unit was handeled like a baby. Never dropped. Not even a scratch on the screen. One day the screen cracked.
The repair cost is in excess of $180.
BTW HP service is ruthless even if the item is under warranty.
It will be fool hardy to buy this item. check reviews at amazon and you will know what i mean. The reviews for the last 3 months are all saying that the screen breaks and HP is really bad in service.
Nightmarish experience with HP4155 and HP service by antiguanboy ,Feb 02 '05
Pros: Very compact, convenient unit. Cons: Multiple quality issues, return 2 units for repair within 4 months. HP dishonors warranty commitments
I've had nothing but bad experience with the HP4155 & HPs service! 'bought my first pocket PC in September 2004 it went on the bomb after a month. HP claimed it was due to a bad battery but agreed to have me return the unit for replacement. In January 2005, while on a business trip my pocket PC was passed through the airport security metal detector, 2 hours later when the unit was turned on I noticed a spot in the LCD screen and fuzzy lines running throughout the screen. Contacted HP for warranty support and after 2 weeks finally got packaging to return the unit. One week later, HP called to say defect was not covered by warranty since the LCD had "compression " fracture and repair cost would be $176.79, furthermore there would be a charge of $80.00 if I wanted unit returned unrepaired. My complaints have been treated snottily...What a sham! HP has totally refused to honor it's warranty and there seems to be no recourse. This is my second really bad experience with this company.
The screen is prone to damage by colonmar ,Oct 25 '04
Pros: Good speed and capacity, with good software. Cons: Very weak screen, prone to crack if you use your fingernail.
I bought one of these, and on its third week, while normally hitting it with my fingernail, as I had done to other PDAs and other touchscreens I have used, the screen cracked. When requesting a repair on its guarantee, they said it was subjected to "abuse", and refused to repair it unless I paid $325, for a PDA which I bought for $399. If you buy one, beware! The screen is too weak for fingernails.
Pros: Size, WLAN, BlueTooth, battery life Cons: Not much
I bought this unit to replace an HP Jornada 548 that I had for a few years and was extremely slow. My friend bought the iPaq 2100 series and recommended it to me. I wanted the WLAN so went for the 4155 and am very pleased with the unit. The battery life is great even when using the Bluetooth and WLAN. It's lightweight and compact. Initially, I needed to do some hard resets but now it's working quite well. If only the Bluetooth on my laptop would work as well so I could sync without needing to re-pair the devices.
I've used them all......This Is the Best !!! by rayc1040 ,Jul 05 '04
Pros: Compact, powerful, wireless, bluetooth, great battery life, great screen...Just Great !!! Cons: The cradle...That's it !!!
I started out years ago with a Palm IIIc and since then have used or owned virtually every handheld device made...Palms, Sony's, Toshiba's....The IPAQ h4155 is the best....I've been using my IPAQ for 3 days off the cradle and I still have 65% of my battery life to use....I've never had that luxury before....And I USE it...Notes, memos, games, wireless, all of it...All the others are gone. This one is a "Keeper".... For those users who have trouple syncing, etc....Remember...When all else fails, read the directions....Doing that, I've had no problem at all...
