We paid $594.00 for this It is noisy & has strong oder.I told the dealer. They ask me to continue using it while they sent me a new one.When it didn't arive I called again. They lost the order but said keep using it we will send new one. It came damaged,they said Keep using 1st one,keep 2ond till 3rd one arives. This took months. It was noisier than 1st one. I wanted to return it ( Not happy) the dealer said "No you had it to long now" This was a lot of work,& money,& the air quality seems the same.

Pros: Claner, Krisper air, less dust( almost non-exsistent)...Wonerful Clean outdoor smell.

We have 2 choc. labs, 2 Rats, and 1 cat. My father in law in on oxygen 24-7 and was on 4 inhalers. Since getting this he is now able to do without the inhalers, as for the oxygen that will have to stay(he smoked for over 50 years).

Pros: Easy set up, easy to clean.
Cons: Pricey - but a number of good sellers on eBay.

Bought this from a dealer who was closing up shop and it is GREAT! Don't know what the previous commenter was talking about - fan can be operated at a number of speeds from very quiet to quite loud, when purifier portion is turned on, there is definitely a "smell" but that's a good thing - it's like the air after a rainstorm, and frankly we love it. I plugged it in, and in our 1400sf home within 20 minutes, the whole house smelled fresher! I got a fantastic deal, but I think for those suffering with allergies and such it is well worth the money.

Pros: super ozone output. Great fan
Cons: expensive, corrosion problems, poor internal component layout

When it was brand new it was fantastic. Six months later found the nitric oxides produced by the unit were being blown right over the circuit boards causing them to corrode and short out. Destroyed the unit and had to be sent back. They were good about the warranty but 8 months later it happened all over again. The electronics need to be protected from all the oxides and small dust that passes through the dust filter.

I also have an Air-Zone unit that states it is more powerful etc..They have their ozone plates after the fan and components. No issue with them corroding. Only beef with their unit is it is not even close to as powerful or effective.

I thought I would try another one and will know in the next 6 or 8 months. I do admit that the price for these units are way out of line. They would still make great profits at half the price.

Pros: Kept my wife happy when it worked
Cons: Consider the advertised price of $500 to be exorbitant

I noted with interest that the only reviews of this product were all dated in 2004, when my wife (despite my urging not to) purchased this machine for what I considered to be the exorbitant price of $529. (I see that a couple new ones are available on eBay for $239.99 plus $29 S&H.)

While I too can smell the Ozone, I question just how much good the purifier does.

I'm now faced with the prospect of buying one of those eBay machines, since neither the remote, or the controls on "our" machine work. Of course I could ship it to LA at my expense and have it repaired for a fee of $159.

Pros: kills odor within a few hours of first plug in. pleasantly surprised.
Cons: so far no cons.

Oh ya.. you would think nothing would work. I can now have friends over without being embarrassed. I love it!

Pros: Small, relatively quiet.
Cons: What good is an air purifier if it makes you sick.

Whenever this product is on at home, it get sick. It feels like I've been out running on a smoggy day. It hurts to take a deep breath. I know it's this product because it only happens when it's on. I can't really say it takes odors out of the air, or the air seems fresher after it's off, but it's not worth it for me. A waste of money.
