Pros: Good story, good acting, good special effects, GREAT MESSAGE! Cons: Doesn't have any in my opinion
With another date night coming up, I found myself scanning the paper for a good movie to see with my hubby. I look for movies that A) have an interesting storyline, and B) as evidenced by their trailers, seem to reflect my values. After that, I look...

Pros: Excellent twists and great character performances! Cons: If you tend to be analytical about what's not possible you may not be able to turn your brain off enough to enjoy the fantasy.
Finally, a Dennis Quaid movie worth sitting down and watching more than once. Being a regular and religious movie goer, I tend to be a bit critical about the movies out today. Can you even blame me though with such trash out there as "Spice...

Pros: good pace, suspenseful, challenging Cons: didn't get a feel for character
I don't like to clean the house. I figured if I said, 'let's go to the movies!' I could get out of it. The press reviews were good on this one and my sweetheart fell for it, so off we went. Dennis Quaid's washboard stomach from his appearance in 'The...

Pros: Interesting premise. fine acting, strong emotions. Cons: Logic holes, may be too sentimental for some.
Drive-In Movie reviewer Joe Bob Briggs would often comment that the low-budget B-movies he watched had "too much plot getting in the way of the story." And while "Frequency" contains many, many storylines, including a father/son...

Pros: Great story, well acted, touching Cons: Lacks energy in places
I really liked this film but it seems that a lot of people found it a little too based in fantasy. I grew up on a steady diet of Star Trek, which was of course set in the future. This film brought some of the same issues to a time and place I can relate...

Pros: s.o Cons: s.o
"Frequency," as far as I can tell, is being advertised and compared to 1999's little thriller "The Sixth Sense" for obvious reasons - "Sixth" made a lot of dough.
And while "Frequency" like...

Pros: great plot, solid acting, thrilling movie Cons: sometimes predictable dialogue
Frequency is a great thrill ride with many plot twists and surprises. The plot is based on a modern day cop, John (Dave Caviezal), who starts playing with his dead father's, (Frank...played by Dennis Quaid) old Ham radio. Soon, he realizes that he has...

Pros: very suspenseful Cons: obviously, not believable.
A son talks to his deceased father at the same ham radio at the same desk at the same time.....30 years apart. If you can buy that, you will love this movie. The ability to change history, to place evidence for future discovery, to lose and regain your...

Pros: A "happy ending" , some nice surprises, and some thought provoking scenarios Cons: Not realistic, but it shouldn't matter
After seeing the trailer to this film, I knew I was going to see it. It looked suspenseful, somewhat emotional, and something to lift my spirits.
While there was not a great deal of action, (it didn't need it), I would call this an action...

Pros: Excellent Film, Great Acting, Good Story Cons: Not Technically Accurate, Gives The Wrong Idea About The Hobby Of Amateur Radio
Not very many movies I can recall have so many of my favorite elements: science fiction, tense gripping drama, mystery, technical merit, special effects, and a poignant look at family relationships. If I had to describe Frequency in 6 words or less, I...

Pros: Great idea, decent soundtrack Cons: Lousy production on most levels
I can't decide if the worst part of this film was the hokey, knock-off performances, or the swiss cheese story-line. "Frequency" (though a great idea with a sentiment that can pull some heart strings), is just not a great movie.

Pros: Strong plot, great casting, very exciting movie Cons: None I can think of
What if you could alter your past and rewrite history as you go along? What if you had the chance to prevent a loved one from dying? Frequency basically asks the question of "What if..." I just got back from seeing a sneak preview tonight,...

Pros: Some intriguing points about time and space Cons: Too many paradoxes lined with a contrived narrative
Movies about time and space are inherently flawed because the physics and logic are either completely paradoxical or too complicated to comprehend. In Frequency, for example, a physicist on a television show mentions string theory, a ludicrously...

Pros: Great suspense, and keeps your attention till the end Cons: none
Frequency was amazing. There is no film really like it. Sliding Doors had a similar plot but Frequency takes it even further.
The movie is about a young man named Johnny and he discovers this radio that his father used to always communicate...

Pros: Good actors and good story Cons: Detailed script means you have to pay attention
First of all, let me just say that I am not a movie critic. I am a movie fan, first and last. That is where my point of view begins and ends. I work hard so I go to the movies to escape for awhile and that is what happened in the movie...
