Pros: Sandra Bullock is completely charming, as usual Cons: That German character "Gerhard" is a complete goof
Some things to consider about (me) the reviewer when reading this review:
1 - I am a bleeding heart social worker type (though I don't work in an addiction program)
2 - I had a free ticket
3 - I...

Pros: Tastefully filmed. Doesn't glamorize addictions Cons: Not at ALL a "feel good" movie.
28 Days
I'm amazed. I sat through "28 Days" last evening with my movie buddy and neither of us could believe Sandra Bullock could have pulled off such a challenging role! In fact, I would completely believe that she was stone face...

Pros: Was entertained from beginning to end. This film was funny sad and everything in between! Cons: Gwen and Eddie didn't end up together :(
This is the story of Gwen, who after totally ruining her sisters wedding,(and not to mention cake) takes off in the Limo awaiting the new bride and groom. She lands up, smashing the car into a house, and is hauled off to.... not jail, but a rehab center!...

Pros: Sandra Bullock does a good job Cons: neither comedy nor drama thus failing at both
My husband and I went to see this movie for two reasons. 1) We both like Sandra Bullock, and 2) we were in the mood to see a comedy. I have to say that on the first count, we were satisfied. Sandra Bullock did a good job with the movie. She is her...

Pros: The First Half Cons: The Second Half
After five years of making a large collection of horrible films, it is about time that Sandra Bullock succeed with a film. I know that she has become more and more popular over the course of this time, but I have been continually let down. Practical...

Pros: Good cast. Handled subject matter well for 1st half. Funny. Cons: Cliche.
Director Betty Thomas, who hit the nail on the head with her hysterically funny screen adaptation of television's "The Brady Bunch" ("The Brady Bunch Movie"), surprisingly misses with her latest film. "28 Days" begins on an...

Pros: Entertaining and sometimes heart breaking look at the life of an addict Cons: Soap opera story line seemed superfluous
The movie 28 days provides an entertaining and sometimes heart breaking look at the life of an addict. Sandra Bullock is quite touching as Gwen, the main character. Gwen has spent her life hiding behind alcohol and various other substances. To her and...

Pros: Sandra Bullock is a good actress Cons: Dreary topic
I like Sandra Bullock very much. She is best in a romantic comedy though she also was terrific in Speed one. I wish someone would give her the kind of movies she does best instead of sticking her into these films which leave the viewer feeling depressed....

Pros: Cast and Crew Cons: A written-by-the-numbers storyline
Take a time limited event familiar to the movie going public, (12-step programs in detox and rehab centers) add one very talented, attractive and popular actress, (Sandra Bullock) mix with her a male counterpart for contrast and romance, (Dominic West),...

Pros: Positive ending, good message, excellent performances Cons: A few disturbing scenes
"28 Days" is a story about overcoming, about facing your past while learning to deal with the present. It is realistic and humorous, and the ultimate message is that everyone can and should take responsibility for his own actions. Those with...

Pros: Competant Acting, Good Message, Reasonable Characters Cons: Predictable in many places
It wasn't until I wrote my title line that I knew how I was going to rate the film "28 Days." Occassionally, it comes down to a coin toss for me. Not so with this film. I decided to actually read the question that ePinions asks us to consider when...

Pros: Not your typical Sandra Bullock movie, great supporting cast, interesting direction Cons: Rehab center seemed to lack any real treatment
This movie surprised me in many ways. I'll admit that I was expecting the usual Sandra Bullock fare in all of her cutesy glory. Almost all of her roles have consisted of Meg-Ryanisque type roles in which she finds and ultimately falls in love with Mr....

Pros: The character Gerhardt, (Alan Tudyk), made the movie great. Cons: Many good parts were given away in the previews.
If you have seen the previews, you have seen this movie. I thought the movie was really sweet, but there were only a few cute moments that I felt I had not already seen. I am not really sure why film companies do that... use up all of the good lines in...

Pros: Sandra Bullock's performance was excellent! Cons: None.
I saw this movie for the first time this evening on HBO and I find that this movie is overall, excellent. The script was well written and director Betty Thomas did a very superb job in directing this drama. The scenes were directed very well and not...

Pros: Thought provoking material. Cons: Some plot holes, but nothing too detracting.
28 Days stars Sandra Bullock as a party happy New Yorker who ruins her sisters wedding, crashes a car, as has two choices: jail or rehab? Having not killed all of her brain cells, she makes the intelligent decision to go to rehab.
28 Days...
