Pros: Eclectic and experimental; the best of all their albums Cons: Edited and unavailable US version better than the popular UK version
This album, along with Rubber Soul, shows the Beatles at a crossroads - demonstrating their solid grasp of studio technique and creative expression while developing new ideas. A couple of songs, eg, "Yellow Submarine", are pretty substandard, but even...

Pros: It's guarranteed to change the way you think about music Cons: erm, cant think of any!
revolver begins very similaraly to the first beatles album, with a count in, however it ends very differently! by the end of this album you have basically learnt the history of modern music. Anyone who wants to start a band should definately listen to...

Pros: It is a metaphysical album. I touch the real ground with Revolver. Cons: No way!
Revolver is the first and the only album to be very metaphysical in all ways. Indian sounds from George and John, inner love from Paul and Ringo's drums and singing contribution which make him a real Star!!! Rock on Ringo!!
With this album or...

Pros: It's the Beatles Cons: It's not their best
I never thought I would discourage people from buying a Beatles album, but here I am. I am a huge Beatles fan, and I have pretty much all their music. Revolver was one of the first Cd's I ever got, and yes, it's a good album. However, in recent years it...

Pros: Shows the newer, more mature beatles Cons: None to speak of
The Beatles, arguably the best rock and roll band ever. Those are some big shoes to fill, but the Beatles live up to their title with Revolver. Revolver has both the bright pop songs of the original beatles combined with Indian influences that were quite...

Pros: Beautiful turning point Cons: Not long enough.
Revolver was a definite turning point in the evolution of the Beatles. Their music had been constantly maturing, and with Rubber Soul had started becoming more thoughtful; John and Paul were establishing themselves as story tellers. With Revolver the...

Pros: Variety of musical styles and arrangements Cons: None
The year is 1967. The place is the South Side of Chicago, in my friend Heidi's living room, where five freshman girls were spending the night, at a birthday slumber party. Potato chips, California onion dip, cokes and cake made a feast for us. Silly...

Pros: It is the Beatles, which makes it great. Cons: Nothing at all!
Revolver is a great CD by the Beatles. So many classic songs on it... Eleanor Rigby is always a favorite. My favorite on this one would have to be Yellow Submarine because I have always loved that song. It's eccentric and funny. It's a great CD to...

Pros: You'll get off on it. Cons: You can't compare it to other albums, especially modern music, because it's depressing. Not for every mood (it's on the happy side, in my opinion)
This is one of the first three albums I ever owned-- I was three years old at the time. It was my father's copy and I played it again and again, over and over on my plastic Fisher Price record player with built in speaker (possibly the greatest...

Pros: Tremendous songwriting, state-of-the-art (for 1966) sound Cons: The Inner Light is a touch incongruous
Even a careless listening will make it shining clear that today's rock scene is a million miles behind. There are hundreds of bands these days who would trade their souls for just one of these songs which the Beatles churned out at will.
At the time...

Pros: A great mid 60's album Cons: In my personal top ten
The Beatles clearly getting ready for Sgt. Pepper,
and putting there touring days behind them.
Just some trivia on some of the tunes.
"She Said She Said"
written by John, While the Beatles were in...

Pros: The best album I have ever heard, EVER Cons: Absolutely NONE
This is beyond the best album ever! Every song on this album has so much emotion and soul. I cannot even describe the feelings in the song "For no one". John lennon says the most intense things. "Eleanor Rigby" has so much meaning and heart. The songs...

Pros: All the songs are great. Cons: Could have been a double album.
This is the only Beatles album that I own. I bought the album after hearing "She Said, She Said" at a friend's house. I have always loved the Beatles, but the music was recorded so poorly in that era that I just could't listen to them. They must have...

Pros: Good hybrid of early Beatles pop and late Beatles rock Cons: Too short!!
Being too young to see the Beatles live or have any of their albums on vinyl, I must make due with reissues of their CD's. The best one of those is undoubtedly Revolver.
This album was the real stepping stone that made the Beatles a rock band....
