Pros: Difranco's got a new attitude ... Cons: May be a little slow for some ...
Admittedly I was a little hesitant going into this disc. Even with JennJoys enthusiastic thumbs up (which can be found here) I was still reluctant. I thoroughly enjoyed her recent release, So Much Shouting, So...
So many big decisions and changes in one's life come with plenty of heartache, even if you know it's for the best. Surrounding the release of this album, two major things happened in Ani DiFranco's life - she separated from her husband/soundman and ended...
Pros: Does not sound bad, Soft and melodic music, A few lyrics Cons: Vocally, musically and lyrically underwhelming.
I do not, honestly, believe that my new partner is going to leave me for my musical choices or any sense that I am lacking in musical taste. This is, of course, my hope - that she not leave - but one never knows. In addition to taking a keen interest ...
Pros: Ani keeps releasing records... Cons: ... though she works in mysterious ways

Pros: Wide variety of songs, beautiful instrumentation Cons: Not as impressive as past albums
The newest album from Ani & her band is definitely a winner. I cannot turn down any Ani album, and although Evolve has both its pros and cons, it has not let me down.
Pros
This album covers so many different moods that it...
Throughout her career, Ani has never shied from pursuing new musical directions. On Evolve, her latest release on Righteous Babe Records, the singer/s...More at Buy.com Marketplaces
