Rise and Shine with Randy Travis

by wifeofvolsfan Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Dec 18 '03
Pros: inspirational, moving, excellent songs & voice
Cons: that I didn't buy it sooner
I have been a fan of Randy Travis for years now. He signed his first record deal back in 1985 and has been putting out the hits ever since then. I had Randy's Rise and Shine CD on my wish list for a long time when I finally broke down and ...

Randy Travis Moves to Gospel with Rise and Shine

by keithpruitt Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Apr 27 '09
Pros: Lyrically refreshing, thought-provoking songs, instrumentation
Cons: Not all as good as Three Wooden Crosses, but almost.
A Bit of Album History When Randy Travis released the gospel album Rise and Shine in the fall of 2002, the country crooner had not had a top 20 hit in three years.  Yet the buzz around this Kyle Lehning produced ...

Rise and Shine is what this CD does!

by openroad Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Dec 18 '02
Pros: Quality music and vocals, original songs
Cons: None at all, his best inspirational release yet.
First of all, if you liked Randy's first gospel flavored release Inspirational Journey then run out and get this right away. It's similar to that disc, but better in every way. For the rest of you who havn't heard Inspirational Journey or...

Amazing Work
by d_jsmith ,Aug 14 '04
Pros: Great music, great words, great voice.
Cons: NONE
I LOVE this CD! A lot of times it takes me a few times of listening to really enjoy a CD, however, the first time I heard "Rise and Shine" I was in awe. It is AMAZING! Not only is it some of the best of Randy Travis' work, I consider it some of the best Christian music I've ever heard. He really focuses on salvation and faith in the music and it is refreshing to hear. I want to buy this CD for everyone I know and plan to for some Christmas gifts.
It's also a great mix of types of music. There are upbeat songs, ballads and fun songs. I keep this CD in my car and listen to it all the time.
