THE BEST GUITAR ROCK ALBUM OF ALL TIME

by matthew_good , Sep 04 '00
Pros: everything
Cons: these guys can do no wrong
This album came on the heals of the widely popular single 'Creep.' Many felt Radiohead would be a one hit wonder band until this album. If you've never heard them before, i strongly recommend you start with this album. It ranges from raging guitar...

Whine...Screech....

by Benjamin , Oct 29 '99
Pros: It's unique.
Cons: It gives me a headache.
I bought this album because I heard tons of reviews like the other ones here. Radiohead is a good band, but I have to say that both this album and Ok Computer consistently give me a headache. You probably don't care. That's ok, just hear me out for a...

"The Bends" is Bent [but that's a good thing!]

by bestbabi , Sep 26 '00
Pros: Exciting, different, fun
Cons: A bit strange
Tired of the same old songs, "Oh baby baby ooh ooh you make me so.. I just wanna... "? Good lord! If I hear these for extended periods of time I feel strongly inclined towards illness. Get a life!

I've been pretty...

The Best album by far
by carlyyy ,Jan 06 '05
Pros: Best album they have ever released, excellent
Cons: None
I first heard of Radiohead when I heard the song creep. From then on I have been a massive fan of them. Some albums like OK Computer are good but some songs like Karma police can be tiring to listen to once you've heard the album a few times.
However with this album no matter how many times I have heard it I haven't ever got bored of it. I found that I had never heard of most of the songs on the album but they still became as catchy as the ones I had heard of. My favourites being lack star, street spirit and until Jamie Cullan insulted any Radiohead by doing a version of it high and dry.
Tom Yorkes vocals stand out and in fact the whole musical arrangement works. I would say this is definently a classic. Anyone who likes any other radiohead material would definently be impressed with this.
