Pros: Inexpensive, Copper boiler, fast Cons: Noisy, no warmer plate for cups
I've just started drinking espresso and related drinks and decided to buy my own machine rather than continue paying high prices at coffee shops. After looking around and reading reviews at coffee sites, I came across the Gaggia Carezza. Prices for ...
Pros: Economical, Makes good Espresso, Uses Pods, Does not require plumbing Cons: Loud, Could be easier to clean
I used to barista years ago and grew to appreciate a 'good' shot of espresso. I was constantly running around to Starbucks, Caffe a Via and other establishments to get espresso and espresso based drinks. In an effort to conserve money I did some ...
Pros: Good coffee. Same internals as more expensive Gaggia's. Cons: Too loud and too messy.

Pros: Lots of pressure, easy to use and clean. Reputable brand for 200 bucks. Cons: Noisy, inconveniently located water reservoir.
My wife and I sold our fully automatic Gaggia Synchony Compact when we moved from London UK to Houston Texas. When we arrived in Texas we had grandiose ideas about upgrading to a fancier fully automatic. However surfing the coffee lists on Amazon I ...
Pros: Great tasting espresso and cappuccinos, gets warmed up fast. Cons: Messy if you forget to turn off the steam switch before removing the portafilter.
The Gaggia Carezza is a very good espresso and latte machine. I had an old non pump espresso machine that I never used that I replaced with this machine. And thank goodness I did! This thing makes cappuccinos like Starbucks! And I'm a beginner, once ...
Pros: Looks pretty. Cons: noisy machine.
non-existent customer service
I purchased a Gaggia Carezza Silver on Amazon. I was excited to receive my first pump cappuccino machine. The price seemed reasonable.
I can't review how good the cappuccino is, because I have not yet been able to make one.
I tried the machine. It was disturbingly noisy. I following the directions carefully and water began leaking from what seemed like everywhere, except into the coffee grounds.
I have repeatedly called the customer service number with no satisfaction. First, their hours of service are 9-5 M-F, so I had to leave work early so that I could call the company. Second, when I got hold of someone, they offered me no suggestions, just took my name and numbers and promised someone would call me back. I am still waiting for the call. This has been going on for a week and a half.
I finally decided to send the machine back to amazon and fork out the bucks for a Francis instead. (I found one on sale yesterday, have already made 6 successful cappuccinos and LOVE it! )
