Ford Hill Country Club - White

Pros: Excellent price, Personable manager (he made our visit top notch) beautiful country course.
Cons: Small greens, but well kept. There really weren't any cons.

Very pretty rural course with great views of the lake on White nine. 36 holes and family run, this is your typical rural course -- no resort course -- but fun, challenging and well kept for the average player. Nice layout, greens were small but nearly perfect in mid July when we passed through last summer. We had a great experience here while traveling with a foursome, and were treated very well both in the pro shop and clubhouse. Excellent and extensive menu, general sandwich and breakfast menu, beautiful bar. The owner (Mike) is on the property as general manager -- he was personable, professional and really treated us well... This guy knows his course, knows the golf business and how to treat his out of town customers. Rates were extremely reasonable, and we liked the choice we had.. 36 holes, played in ANY combination -- We wish we could go back! If we're traveling on I-81 through upstate NY again, we will.. it was literally 3 minutes from the interstate and worlds away!
