What we have hear is a $50 worth of optics in a very fancy brass package. And for the amount of money it costs, it's not terribly attractive, at least to my tastes. This is the kind of thing people put up in living rooms with a harbour view, and for those who own homes with that sort of view, the price isn't a problem.

But for much less than the price of this scope you could buy a brass TeleVue Ranger on one of TeleVue's brass and hardwood mounts. It would look gorgeous, and it would be infinitely better, optically. And for not much more than what this scope costs you could get one of TeleVue's 4" brass scopes that will stun you with its quality.
