Pros: Greater stability, more multimedia features and system restoration ability Cons: It is not crash proof as claimed by many
This newest version of Windows is catered to the home user in the same style as Windows 95 and 98. It recognizes more peripherals and is a fair improvement over the previous versions of Windows but what is all the hype about and why do many people claim...

Pros: Pretty easy upgrade, stable, System Restore is best MS enhancement since Internet Explorer Cons: Sys requirements too forgiving, not a lot of earth shattering features, not as stable as NT/2000, pain in the butt to install from a clean hard disk
About a month ago, I wrote about my experience with the upgrade process when it came to Windows Millennium. In that comment section I made it a point to do an update of that editorial and run through the features of Windows Me and basically tell...

Pros: Inexpensive; offered support for new hardware, in particular: digital multimedia devices. Cons: Not backward compatible with some Windows 98 software programs.
Friends and Family... stop Buying Windows ME. I am tired of being asked for help in fixing your computer problems.
Yep. That's exactly how I feel after being called out a half-dozen times by family members who have been experiencing problems...

Pros: Multimedia Rich, Simple to Use. Cons: Not as stable as Windows 2000.
Microsoft Windows Me is the latest and the last version of Windows following the Win 9x Kernel. Microsoft has given WinMe the face of Windows 2000 and the simplicity of Windows 98. WinMe is the most user-friendly, easiest and multimedia rich OS from the...

Pros: Easy Home Networking Cons: Promises, Promises
After toiling for several weeks trying to get Windows ME to function on my montage of devices and software packages, I have all but given up ship.

Pros: Offers some improvements over previous editions Cons: None as of yet
When my new computer arrived this past week, I decided that I had to get the upgrade to Windows Millenium Edition. First of all, there was a $40 rebate on some speakers I wanted if you bought any "Windows Me" product, and then Staples threw in...

Pros: Faster and more stable than 98 Cons: Eats up lots of disk space
Faster than Windows 98 and one step closer to the stability of Windows 2000, Microsoft has delivered on Windows Millenium. Since installing it three weeks ago I haven’t looked back to Windows 2000, well maybe a couple of times. The most impressive thing...

Pros: increases computer speed, nice graphical changes Cons: none really
Well, I went ahead and did it. I was terrified, confused, and half of me didn’t even see the point in upgrading. I did it though – I upgraded to Microsoft Windows ME, which is basically the home version of Microsoft 2000.
Why did I do...

Pros: System Restore, faster boot up Cons: doesn't work with my Iomega zip drive
I am no computer expert so this epinion will be from the viewpoint of an untrained home user.
I have owned a computer and been online since 1996, so I'm not a total novice. My old computers were a Compaq Presario Laptop (junk) and a Gateway...

Pros: Faster, more stable, better graphics Cons: resource hog, requires upgrade of anti-virus software
In spite of telling myself repeatedly over the last few months that I would not buy another minor upgrade to Windows 98, when the sun set on September 14th Windows Me was my new operating system. What happened? I blame my wife. She knows me too well and...

Pros: Relatively stable Cons: Poor memory management, No native DOS mode
Having used ME for a month now, it's time for me to throw in my $.02 about Microsoft's newest addition to the 9x kernel. This review is going to point out quite a few of the flaws in the OS, but keep in mind that I am still relatively pleased with ME....
