Cheap and reliable
by mnystedt ,May 15 '04
Pros: Good quality, decent speed, competitive pricing. Cons: Not the fastest CF cards available.
I bought two of these cards for use in my Konica Minolta DiMAGE A2 and they perform very well. Sure, they are not the fastest cards around (although I have not measured exact performance), but they are solid performers for a good price. I can't even imagine how many times I've filled them up and erased them in the last few months and they just keep on ticking, so to speak.

If you want reliability... don't get this card.

Pros: Cheapest card I could find. People in tech support and returns are very nice. Cons: Just not a good product. Believe me save yourself the headache, pay a little more.
I had a pretty bad experience with this card. First one I bought shot 2 frames in my camera then froze. After talking to tech support they decided it was the card so I sent it back.
They sent me a replacement. On the first day I had the new card I shot and downloaded photos 3 times. On the 4th time I was shooting with it it froze while I was shooting and the camera could not record to it any more. Whatever went wrong with it was so bad that flash card data recovery software could not even save the info on the card.
Trust me. Pictures are priceless. So spend a little more and get a more reliable brand like Lexar, Kodak, SanDisk, etc.
