Pros: Exterior design, Interior, Performance, Price.
Cons: Ergonomics, No fog lights or sun roof, Availability.
The Bottom Line: The Nissan 350Z is a great car at an excellent price. If you are in the market for a new sports coupe the 350Z is definitely worth a test drive.

Until a few days ago I thought it wouldn't be until April 23rd 2003 till I would get to drive the 350Z. Like many new products of the past, i.e. the 1998 New Beetle, the 2001 PT Cruiser, and Tickle Me Elmo, the 350Z is not exactly easy to find, at least...

Pros: Striking looks, torquey six, handling, price
Cons: No armrests, poor lumbar support, busy ride
The Bottom Line: Great performance for the price, but tiresome to drive at moderate speeds.

Every time I have a child my father gets the urge to buy a sports car. We usually go out and test drive a few only to have him come to his senses before signing on the dotted line. Well, my third child seems to have been the charm. We test drove a ...

THE NISSAN 350Z: Zzzzzzzzzzounds!

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Excellent all-around performance. Muy macho looks. Great bang for your hard-earned buck.
Cons: Stingy cargo space, interior and ride can be unforgiving.
The Bottom Line: The Z is back! While it may be a little frustrating to live with (it is a sports car), the Z offers near-exotic car performance at a great price.

There comes a time in every man’s life when he is faced with the temptation of satisfying his instincts… of succumbing to his primal urges, no matter what the cost. No, I’m not making a defense for any college coaches out there, nor am I...

Pros: excellent steering and handling, stylish, fun to drive
Cons: Can be a rough ride and rear window is hard to see out of
The Bottom Line: If you want to pop around town in a sporty less expensive sports car, this is for you, but I would think twice if you have long commutes.

There was so much anticipation for the Nissan 350Z to come out. We had waiting lists galore ...

Pros: Looks, power, feel, unique - A true sportscar, and welcome revitalization of Nissan
Cons: Massive waiting list, initial low prices growing due to dealers' greed
The Bottom Line: A absolute pleasure and an absolute blast to drive- The quintessential "Z" has regained it Legend status to even greater degree. Bravo Nissan

This is it - the one we've all been waiting for...3 Loooonnnggg years PLUS! All those hours spent gazing at sneak-peek pictures in Car and Driver and all the other mags talking it up about power, handling, size, overall delivery... In short, all the...

The best sports car my money can buy

by primaltone
Jan 03 '04

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Deceptively quick, incredible handling, great looks, great steering
Cons: A bit heavy, not much storage space, Nissan service, interior quality traded for performance
The Bottom Line: This car has the best combination of engine, handling, and styling for the money. I’ll probably keep it forever.

I've owned my car for about 6 months and it has been my only 4-wheeled vehicle. I am still just as obsessed with it today as I was the day I bought it. I chose the Z over an S2000 because I am not really a convertible fan, and I preferred the torque in ...

Pros: Unbelievable looks. Unbelievable engine. Unbelievable ride.
Cons: Minimal hatch space. No turbo!
The Bottom Line: Amazing car. Amazing price.

OK, so I don't OWN one of these.

However, give me a year.

I've loved Z's ever since I've been a kid. I remember the 88' being a favorite of mine...until the last generation Z appeared in the early 90's, with it's massive power,...

Jan 15 '04

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Beautiful sleek design, gorgeous engine purr, affordable
Cons: No enough cargo space, easy to speed
The Bottom Line: Beautiful car out performs all other cars in it's price range. If you don't need a backseat this car is for you!

I had drooled over the 350's ever since they came out, but never thought that I would have one seeing as they were a two seater, and I had a young daughter, and 3 people can't fit in two seats. Anyhow, as I had opened up a new business it came ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Powerful, great handling, fun to drive
Cons: Potential Paint Problems, Potential interior rattles, adaquate audio system
The Bottom Line: Dispite the potential problems, the drive, ride, and feel of the car makes you forget about EVERYTHING!

With the 350Z finally here (and available for testing), who here DOESN'T salivate for one? After a year and a few months gawking at the Z concept, there were many mixed reactions. However, everyone wanted to see what the production car would be like....

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Power, performance, well designed, acceptable as a daily driver, incredible value
Cons: Small trunk, crappy speakers, heavy, unforgiving ride on rough road, hard to get
The Bottom Line: Nissan has brought us a sports car that succeeds on every level. We get ample power, masterful ride, great safety features, Nissan’s reliability, and an incredible price.

Test Car:
Nissan 350ZX

Model Features:
There are five models available to choose from, ranging from the absurdly cheap $26000 Base model to the tricked out $34,000 Track version. The Base model comes with power...

Jan 09 '04

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Power, Price, Handling, Exterior Design.
Cons: 1st year quirks, some interior design faults.
The Bottom Line: Best value sports car for the money. Great power and handling. Stunning exterior. Loads of aftermarket support. Would get an 04 350Z instead if possible.

I currently own a Silverstone Performance 350Z 6-speed. After over a year of ownership I feel I can now write an honest review about this car. The Z is the kind of sports car that other automakers should strive to create. Power, stunning exterior ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Smooth and torquey engine, stiff and communicative chassis, great gadgets and head-turning styling.
Cons: Too much understeer, tepid rear limited slip, could use a few pounds less.
The Bottom Line: Offers a rare combination of performance and economy combined with practicality and style. For those than can afford it, this Nissan is great value for just above-average money!

Nissan Motor Company has got 'game', in the popular meaning of the word. The long road back from a struggling, moribund car company to a revitalized, profitable enterprise is nearly complete. The crown jewel in this dramatic metamorphosis is the car they ...

A True "Sports" Car

Dec 24 '02 - Updated Feb 08 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: real sports car performance, handling, non-aspirated V6 engine
Cons: too many compromises to be a daily driver
The Bottom Line: A very capable sports car. Buyers should be aware that the design that delivers such incredible performance, may exclude daily use.

This review is based on a test drive of a 2003 350Z Enthusiast version with a 6 speed transmission.

I'll skip the hype about the rebirth of the 350Z. I'll assume you know something about the Z lineage since you're here. The new 350Z...

Z Car Revived!

by spdster2002
Sep 16 '02 - Updated Sep 25 '02

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: smooth powerful V6, sticks to the road like Velcro, starting price under $27,000
Cons: ride too stiff for daily driving, strut tower brace takes up cargo room
The Bottom Line: The 350Z is a neo-classic sports car with a powerful V6 engine, stellar handling, and a price that undercuts many other sports cars.

The original Z car was introduced over 30 years ago as a 240Z. It was powered by a 150-horsepower 2.4-liter 6-cylinder engine. Over the years following its introduction, the 240Z grew into the 260Z, then the 280Z, and finally the 300ZX. It went from a...

Pros: Power, styling, all the things that make a sportscar great
Cons: Abysmal rear visibility, availability limited
The Bottom Line: The Z is back and it's better than ever.

To all of us who are sick to death of the SUVs choking the highways, to all of us who are tired of being stuck behind some schmuck's Family Truckster, to all of us who long for the open road, rejoice. The Z is back.

In the early 70s, Datsun...
