Pros: options, smooth ride, lumbar in driver's seat Cons: head room is a little short for the husband, sliding passenger seat. The Bottom Line: I recommend this car for anyone who needs some room, but is not ready for a 4-door, and is looking for an excellent ride.
I bought a 2001 Monte Carlo SS about 3 weeks ago. I also have a 1996 Monte Carlo Z34 so I know from personal experience that Chevy has put much more thought into this newer generation Monte Carlo than in the last. It has a lot of options that you would ...

Pros: Great to drive, good gas mileage even around town, I get 22 mpg.
Cons: has a bit of under or over steer in corners, but otherwise, very good. The Bottom Line: My final recommendation would be to look close at what you are getting but the Monte Carlo SS is a well engineered vehicle and well worth the money.
I have had many cars in my day, started out with being a Mopar fan and still am in my heart but they missed the boat when it comes to style. That is where the Monte Carlo SS comes in. Yes I like it for numerous reasons. I like the styling, contrary to ...

Pros: Car has mega-personality, good looks, fun to drive, great cornering and ride. Cons: A V8 option would have been nice. The Bottom Line: For it's price range, the Chevrolet Monte Carlo has style, excellent handling, great brakes, good options and I heartily recommend it.
Actually, our Chevy Monte Carlo is my husband's car but I invent all sorts of excuses to drive it. He may be catching on so I'll have to be more creative in finding reasons to take it out on the backroads and play. The Monte corners nicely on the...
