Pros: Smooth, quiet, highly competent suspension Cons: Wait a sec, this is a BMW, not a Lexus, right? Where'd the fun go? The Bottom Line: With the latest redesign the 3-Series initially veered too close to Lexus.
Now I'm going to have to find a previous generation 3-series to drive. I finally got around to driving the new 3-series, and it was an excellent car. Much smoother and much quieter than I expected it to be. But less fun. The previous gen car ...

Pros: Solid, peppy 2.8 liter engine, precise handling, bright headlights, comfortable seats. Cons: Needs occasional tuning/maintenance, all your friends want to drive it. The Bottom Line: It's not your ordinary sports sedan... it's a BMW.
WHY A 3-SERIES BIMMER? My 99 VW Passat was on its last leg and I was desperately seeking a new car. With VWs bolded on my black list, I was ready to venture on to newer and better things. My wife has a 2002 Honda Accord, and to this day, ...

Pros: A fanastic balance of luxury and fun- A great driver's car with refinement Cons: Price/premium, need the premium&sport package. Too much luxury for some The Bottom Line: I shopped and shopped and shopped, with alot of options. The 328ci did it all for me as a wonderful second car. I love it. Enough said.
I'm going to try and do something with this review that hasn't been done yet: Take an objective look at the 328ci as a potential buyer of a used 5-speed manual in great condition. I truly hope this is the most helpful review you ever read about this ...

MY OPINIONS
Most of what you'll read from my ratings are based solely on my opinions and will not discuss deep details regarding car specifications. Detailed specs can, of course, be found at other websites such as

Pros: precision Cons: ergonomics; the emblem is not the design!; high-gravity center.
"A concourse? I'll be able to drive a number of sport luxury vehicles like an insane clown without fear of tickets and fines in the relative safety of a racetrack? Of course I'll be there!"
And so ended my telephone invitation to fun...

Pros: Magical steering and handling; top-of-class performance Cons: Not the best value
Aathif's two identical epinions: "Goodbye to BMW" and "A JOKE! Very little for a lot of your money" on the BMW 3-series are very shallow and unresearched opinions. His entire premise is that value is everything in a car. Now value...

Pros: Total Package Cons: None that I can see!
I recently went through the process of buying a new car. I test drove 5 cars in the midsized luxury class before I picked the Bimmer. Before I test drove the cars, I was not convinced that the BMW name and driving experience were worth the price...

Pros: refinement, safety for its size, leg room, seats, body styling is great, free maintenance, great resale value, solid construction Cons: space at a premium, sometimes resembles an economy car in traffic, you die if it gets a scratch.
The new 323i loses a touch of its sporting spirit, but becomes even more refined and quiet, as well as much more technologically advanced. It is the near-perfect, if smallish, embodiment of what a sedan should be.
Some of the technological...

Pros: Styling, drivetrain Cons: Not reliable, poor quality interior & rattles
The Bottom Line: Beware the glowing reviews! There are serious quality control issues that can ruin your relationship with this car after the "honeymoon" is over. BMW is sacrificing quality to boost profit.
I am an auto enthusiast. I have owned other BMW's, Infiniti, and some sporty Volvos. I bought my 323i (loaded at $33,000) new as a 2000 model. I bought it b/c I wanted the tight feel I was accustomed to in BMW's, and because I enjoyed the demo car that I...

Pros: Great handling, incredible balance, superb refinement Cons: Absolutely horrible ownership experience- Beware of tons of problems! The Bottom Line: It's a great car, but plagued with numerous problems.
My 2000 323Ci is a great car, but its been so troublesome after only 20,000 miles that I would have sold it over a year ago (only 22 months old now) but I can't get a good price for it.
Let me list all the problems I have had with the car and...

Pros: Quiet, smooth ride inside, tight handling and sleek. Great Consumer Reports statistics. Cons: Lifter & amplifier noise, intermittent sunroof operation/brake light failure, engine shake/quiver, sub-quality rear glass/battery. The Bottom Line: Purchase another new BMW? Not until BMW of America accepts product responsibility, is willing to appease/negotiate with customers and are truly "committed to ensure total satisfaction" to their customers!
I proudly drove the vehicle off the showroom floor on September 21, 1999 with 000011 miles. It was the smoothest, quietest vehicle I've ever owned. The car appeared solid, quiet, and held the corners superbly, at least for the first few days. ...

Pros: Nice Design, excellent handling, amazing sound system Cons: lack of power
2 reasons I bought the 328ci 3 months ago:
1. The dealer was going out of business, I could get it for only $500 above the invoice price (I think it is a good deal, but maybe not)
2. I have a Acura Legend 4dr and a Mercedes E430, and I was...

Pros: Quiet interior, good transmission, exterior Cons: Loss of legendary handling, conservative interior
Even though the BMW 3-Series is technically sophisticated car, it has lost some of the razor sharp handling of its predecessors. Under normal driving circumstances, the driving is crisp, clean and quite fun, primarily due to its great turning...

Over the years, I must say I have become quite an automotive enthusiast and over these years, I have tried to test drive as many cars as I possibly could. This past month, I had the chance to drive two versions of the BMW 3 Series. Never have driven a...
