Pros: Good gas mileage Cons: Too small, falling apart
My husband and I bought this Ford Festiva used about 3 years ago from a close friend. It was in okay condition when we got it, needed some cosmetic work done. It had over 100,000 miles on it, but hey we needed a 2nd car desperately, so we made do with...

Pros: Easy to park,very quick and responsive,40+MPG,reliable,cute(IMO),parts are cheap. Cons: It's not a Rolls Royce, but it come close to a Mini Cooper ( ; The Bottom Line: Cheap on gas & repairs but is solid and reliable, you can't go wrong here! If you want to impress the ladies, get an Italian sports car ( ;
In other words, if you are like me and shop for earth friendly products,you soon figure out that trying to live efficiently costs more (up front,anyway). Have you priced a new Honda Civic,organic produce, or a box of eco-friendly laundry detergent? It's...

Pros: Gas mileage, cost of tires, insurance premiums, not a high theft target, Cons: I can't find the little sticker off of the top of the gear shifter!
When I was sold my Festiva in July of this year, I have to admit, I didn't much care for it. I just knew I didn't have much cash and it was a car (my first, by the way). Well, once driven, I couldn't get over it. I truly did not expect what I found....

Pros: very reliable Cons: only seats 4 people(I have 4 children)
I have a 1988 Festiva that we bought new. This little car has been a work horse!! It just rolled over to 170,000 miles last week. When I lived in KY, this car could make it through the snow, when my other couldn't. I have been very happy with my...

Pros: great gas mileage, lots of pep for a 4-cylinder, snappy colors Cons: you are driving an aluminum can next to a 5-ton truck
OK, by my title you might think I absolutely despise the 1988 Ford Festiva. Not so. I just want you to know what you are in for, if you opt to buy this little used beauty.
This was my vehicle for 3 years. I was a graduate student, and then...

Pros: Inexpensive to buy, own and operate. Cons: Needs more power and better aerodynamics. The Bottom Line: If you want an automobile that is economical to buy, own and operate try a good used Festiva.
I purchased a 1988 Ford Festiva that had 145000 miles on it two years ago for $800.00. At that time gasoline prices had started going up and my work place was 34 miles from my home. The car that I was using as primary transportation at that time was a...

Pros: Small but roomy, uses very little gas Cons: clutch problems
I loved this car! I had one a couple of years ago and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. They may look like a small box car but it had enough room for me to use to move from Massachusettes to New Hampshire. (Obviously I didn't have any furniture)...

Pros: Great gas mileage, can take a beating and still comes out running like a champ! Cons: After about 200,000 miles the poor drivers seat is done for. No A/C.
My parents bought this 88 Festiva brand new for about 5,000. 5 years later my sister turned 16 and started driving it, 2 more years my brother drove it, then another 3 and I would start driving it. It only had ab out 120,000 when I started, now it is over 200,000. It does not burn or leak a drop of oil. I get between 35 and 40 miles to the gallon, it could probably use a tune up. Now that gas was up to $3.00 a gallon I still would put less that $25 in, and thats when I was running on fumes! I love this car, although I do want something a little bit nicer.
