Pros: Beautiful resolution; very easy to use; fast USB load times; small size; excellent macro feature Cons: Long shutter lag in auto mode; long lag between pictures
Toshiba's digital camera line is the best-kept secret in the business. Although several magazines have reviewed various Toshiba cameras and praised them highly, everyone seems surprised to see me use a Toshiba PDR-M81. I bought this camera in ...
Pros: good image quality Cons: hard to read display
Just when photographers were getting used to three megapixel digital cameras, Manufacturers have produced cameras with 4 megapixels. Olympus, Sony and Toshiba have upped the ante on megapixels from three to four.
Pros: Easy to use, excellent close-up pics Cons: takes long to start up
I had this camera for about 3 years now. Upgraded from an 2.0 pix Olympus and paid about $500 online for this Toshiba (in 2002). I decided on this one, because I wanted a high(er) pixel camera with video feature. After two years the motor broke and ...
Pros: The fact that I got my money back Cons: It was not refurbished, and it did not focus
I was trying many camera's before I found the one I liked the most (HP 720). I wanted to stay around the $400 or less area and when I seen the add for a refurbished 4.2 mega pixel camera for $299 I ordered it and was hoping for the best. When I got...
Great camera, great price! by califgirl00 ,Sep 02 '04
Pros: Has better features than some of the more expensive cameras. Picture quality is excellent. Cons: Plastic body, kind of bulky.
I bought this camera about 3 years ago. It takes great pictures and has a nice movie mode with sound. The 4.2 megapixles is more than enough!
Since it's been 3 years since I've owned it, I've been wanting to get a smaller camera that would fit into my pocket with ease. However, as I research which camera to upgrade to, I haven't been able to find one that compares to the PDR-M81. For example, the Sony DSC-P10 is nice and small and takes nice pictures, but when you use the movie mode, you cannot use the zoom feature while taking the movie. You can with the PDR-M81. I guess, I was surprised, when trying to find a camera to replace my Toshiba. I found that features I took for granted on my camera, were features that were actually hard to find on other cameras! I still haven't found one that significantly out performs my Toshiba to justify the expense of the upgrade.
I recently bought this camera for a vacation after my 35 mm film camera broke. It's my first digital camera and I'm ecstatic at this purchase. It was easy to use, had great features and didn't eat through batteries as some other cameras will do. I took more than 400 pictures over 10 days!
I feel this cameras quality is second to none.It is one of the few digital cameras that does not eat batteries. This camera's quality is professional in every aspect other than price. I would recommend this camera to anyone in the market for a digital camera.
A 4.1 mega pixal for $350! the price alone says alot for this camera. Can record audio and video when other more expensive can't. Though I wouldn't call it a pocket camera It is far from over sized. It is easy to use and afordable. A great for beginners or for people who just want good quality pictures that are easy to take. Believe me this camera is worth buying.
