Pros: Perfect voice clarity, easy to use and operate. Cons: none
Until a few weeks ago, I had an old-fashioned phone, which had 100 feet of phone cord. I took the phone from room to room of my apartment, dragging with me the entangled cord, so that I'd always have a phone nearby. At age 68, and being in poor ...

fair phone - poor range
by lo_wang ,Jun 18 '05
Pros: price, display, construction, ease of use. Cons: 15 yard range.
On the positive side; price is great for a 5.8gig phone, good construction, good display, overall feel and look good.
Negative side; the range of this phone is horrible at approximately 15 yards away from the base you are unable to maintain any phone call.
Conclusion if you are not going to walk past the 15 yard boundary this is the phone for you- if not, look else ware.

Worth the price
by freckle578 ,Jan 18 '06
Pros: The LED voicemail indicator and the handset locator are nice features to have. Cons: It could be a little smaller and more lightweight.
I purchased this phone a few months ago due to the reviews it received on another site, and I have been very pleased with it. Sure, it's not the best on the market, but the price does reflect that. My calls are always clear, the phone is not bulky (in my opinion - although it could stand to be a little smaller and lighter), and the features are nice. I love the voicemail indicator when I have a new voicemail message. This prevents me from having to call my voicemail provider just to see if there are new messages. Since I have a curious toddler who tends to make things disappear, the handset locator systems comes in hand, also! It's not the best on the market, but with this phone, you do get what you pay for. I love it!

No Range
by bobray ,Nov 19 '06
Pros: Easy to use software, simple setup, good voice quality. Excellent feature set for the price. Cons: Limited range, cheap feel, makes an annoying ringing sound when tapped near the mouthpiece.
I bought this because it had a receiver volume control and I hoped that it wouldn't interfere with my WiFi network. It didn't interfere with the network and the volume control worked well, but it had almost no range.
My old 900 Mhz phone would work halfway down the block. This phone wouldn't work halfway out my very short driveway. I couldn't even make it to the mailbox. It actually started cutting out in the kitchen, less than 20 feet from the base.
It may have been bad quality control but I couldn't find another one at Circuit City so I bought a GE 25866-HE1 which works much better although the voice quality on incoming calls is not as good.
