tough traveler colt - light use backpack for babies
by shantilly247 ,Oct 21 '03
Pros: it caries a baby Cons: it is the most uncomfortable backpack around
I HATE this backpack and do not reccommend to anyone. It is not designed well at all. The worst part of this backpack is it's shoulder straps that nearly cross in the back of the 'parents' neck causing neck/shoulder discomfort that becomes intollerable. I tried using it for short walks around my neighborhood (less than 1 mile) and found myself holding the backpack away from my neck pretty much the whole way. So, I decided not to use it for walks, thinking I could get some use out of it; next I tried to use it while doing household chores (vacuuming, dishes, ect) and I just cant tolerate it. It added too much pressure which would end up in a headache.
My suggestion is to spend the extra money and buy a Kelty backpack/ carrier. You will not be unsatisfied. Plus, when the little one out grows it, you can sell it or consign it.
Good luck and I hope you take my word for it,
Shantel in Oregon
