Pros: unrelentingly silly - just what we wanted Cons: maybe not as sexy as usual (but Steph's worried about her weight)
Somewhere, I swear theres a more modern dictionary that contains the succinct entry, klutz cluts (noun) see Stephanie Plum Wrapped up in the inevitable deluge of burning vehicles, naked fugitives, and goofy New Jerseyans ...
Pros: Still funny, but Stephanie seems more serious and the career feels more real Cons: All the food talk made me both sick and hungry!
Background For those who havent investigated the series yet, Janet Evanovichs Stephanie Plum series, which consist of ten books, is really worth a look. Stephanie Plum is a bounty hunter, but not the tough, kick-butt kind (except by ...
Pros: Sally Sweet is Back! Funniest Ending Yet Cons: Stephanie's too wishy-washy and it's getting old
This is the tenth book in Janet Evanovich's hugely successful numbers series, about Stephanie Plum, a Jersey girl who works as a bounty hunter for her cousin Vinnie. The basic formula in each book is that Stephanie risks her life searching for a high ...
Pros: The series continues and everyone is back... Cons: but enough with all the sex comments, jokes, naked men, stuff.
The latest is this long running series finds Stephanie Plum having one outrageous misadventure after another. She, somehow despite previous disasters and near misses along with some success, is still a Bond Enforcement Agent working for her cousin ...
Pros: The characters are the best part of this series! Cons: The mystery is weak, and some of this will make you wonder "why".
After reading this series in order, and just finishing TEN BIG ONES, I still haven’t figured out what the titles have to do with the books. Other than that confusion, I continue to be delighted with the characters and the plots. Stephanie Plum ...
Pros: great pacing, good plot, Sally Sweet is back! Cons: I can't find anyplace to buy this soap
Warning: All subsequent reviews for this series may contain spoilers for earlier novels in the series. There have been some memorable characters that have uttered the phrase It’s not my fault…. Han Solo, John ...
Pros: Stephanie hasn't changed a bit! Books don't get much more fun than these. Cons: Abrupt (albeit funny) ending
Janet Evanovich has recently released the latest in her Stephanie Plum series, Ten Big Ones (her books titles are numbers in order...One for the Money, Two for the Dough, and so on). It's not my favorite of the series thus far but ...
Pros: Hilarious, funny, witty. It was fast-paced, too. Cons: Kidnapping a guy to torture him is a little out of Stephanie's character.
I've read most of the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich and Ten Big Ones is the funniest so far. Since I typically "read" these as recorded books while driving my car, I'm a little surprised that I didn't have an accident when listening to ...
Pros: Lula sitting on people, Sally Sweet, the Batcave Cons: Wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am ending
I couldnt do it. I couldnt read one more Fear Street book for fear I would implode or something. So I had to move on to much greener pastures. My name is Nicole. Not Stephanie Plum. I dont have a cousin named Vinnie. In ...
Pros: Sally Sweet is back! Trouble for Stephanie some realism to her career. Cons: Not nearly enough sex...Evanovich is known for her hot bedroom scenes.
For those unfamiliar with the Stephanie Plum series, it's a caricature of women's sleuth novels. Stephanie Plum, a "Joisey Girl", loses her office employment and winds up being a bail bondsman for her cousin, Vinny. Evanovich, with tongue firmly ...
Pros: Another great Stephanie Plum novel, finally getting more insight into Ranger!! Cons: A few minor overused phrases that probably just bug me... :)
For those of you who've read Janet Evanovich, especially the Stephanie Plum novels, you have a good idea of what she's all about... a Jersey girl who falls into bounty hunting to make ends meet. The girl is an accident waiting to happen, but in a lovable ...
Have you ever felt like you were in the wrong place at the wrong time? Stephanie Plum may have felt that way when she witnessed a robbery and a deli getting blown up. And better still, she can identify the robber who also shot a cop! Stephanie Plum ...
Pros: Great Story Cons: Can't think of any - I loved it!
Another great one by Janet Evanovich! Ten Big Ones comes out with all of our favorite characters. Stephanie Plum is back in trouble again. How can we not love this character? She manages to always get herself in deep but with the help of her friends ...
This book is funny, sexy and everything in between.
Women will appreciate the " Bail Jumper" who holds up a Frito truck, because of PMS.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a great distraction from everyday life.
Definite must-read for Plum fans by grendelynn ,Jan 15 '05
Pros: Funny, with a few mysteries revealed Cons: Abrupt ending.
Loved the book. There were several hilarious moments. More of Ranger's secrets are revealed--but not enough for us to lose interest in him. Joe fans will be disappointed that he is portrayed as a class-A wimp in this one. I miss the old Joe from the earlier books. The plot could use a bit of work--and the ending was way too abrupt. Let's hope Janet's next book answers a few questions she left unanswered in this one.
