Pros: Softer & smoother applicator, braided string, better packaging, improved tampon shape.

I normally use Tampax Compak because I love the plastic applicator that is sturdier than the paper ones that comes with the traditional Tampax. I got these because they didn't have the Compak ones in stock when I needed them, and...boy, am I glad I did! ...

If you have a very heavy flow, this is the tampon for you. It expands which is very nice, so you worry less about leaks. It also is braided, so that absorbs more when it is about to leak. The pearl applicator is very easy to insert. The smell is also nice. The only con is the wrapper which is very noisy if that bothers you. I would reccomend this to women with a very heavy flow.

I think this is a great product!!!It had the plastic applicator, it goes in easily, there is a grip to help ya put it in, and you can use the wrapper to throw away the applicator in!!!

Pros: Highly absorbent, fresh clean scent
Cons: Expensive!

These are particularly useful on heavy flow days where you are afraid of leaks. I only change the applicator every 4-5 hours or so and on light days I normally dont use these because the braiding can be painful if there's minimum flow. Comfortable and absorbent.

I bought tampax pearl supers and it turns out they open to each side and not all the way around so sometimes i leaked. My favorite tampon is Playtex Sport it opens all the way so you have full protection.

Pros: Super absorbent, especially for a heavy flow
Cons: OUCH, the applicator needs WORK - come on Tampax, you can fix this!

Sure they do the job. But OW OW OWEE - The push part of the applicator ALSO gets inserted. Ok, I may be a moron because it took me about 4 insertions before figuring this out. And digging it out is not pleasant
