Cons: Can't record 90% of what's out there worth recording

This unit seems to have a lot of good features and probably functions fine. I never got that far. I set it up put in a blank DVD and tried to record a movie for my kids and it came up with a message stating you can't record copy writed material. No one I know has this problem with their recorder(Non Sony) and I can record on VHS just fine. This machine is therefore worthless to me. I'll buy Panasonic.
