Pros: Lots of different programs so you won't get bored Cons: Large footprint, LCD screen has no back-light
Even if you think you are so out of shape you couldnt possibly ride this bike, think again, and give it a try! I have been lazy and let myself get out of shape the past 3 years due to a problem with hypothyroidism and not feeling well in general. I ...

Good Exercise Bike, Easy to Set Up & Use...Top Quality
by kenradz ,Jan 29 '08
Pros: Well packaged, good instructions, Easy to set up, Comfortable, Sturdy, Cons: Small pedals, some squeaking from the frame when in use
I'm a pretty big guy (300 pounds) and needed a good quality bike to help me lose the weight and get back on track. This bike will do the job and I have used it for a week straight now as I've begun a regular weight and exercise routine.
Set up was easy and took about 3 hours. This product probably had the best parts/tools ever supplied for an item I purchased and needed to assemble. Assembly instructions were well done too.
Seating is very comfortable and is easily adjustable for the rest of the family to use. I like the "walk thru" design which makes it very easy to mount and use.

Good, steady, quiet exercise bike for modest price
by szaud ,Jan 01 '08
Pros: Balanced, quiet, simple operation and modest price makes this a great at home exercise bike. Cons: This bike would have to be tested for steadiness for heavy weight users.
I bought this exercise bike locally at Play it Again for sale price of $450 plus tax and the store didn't charge for assembly or delivery. I had researched the reliability etc and this bike is the same as the 213 which was recommended by consumer report. It's more user friendly because of the 'walk through' design. I've had it for several weeks and it provides all that I expected though I was surprised at how quiet it is to run.
I'm in the 145 lb weight category and I'm not using it so much to lose weight, rather to just get exercise as much as possible. I've had orthoscopic surgery in both knees and find that I can't walk more than half a mile without feeling discomfort in or around the knee area. My intention is to strengthen the leg muscles as much as I can using the bike. In the $500. price category I would certainly recommend the Schwinn 230
