Pampers Feel 'n Learn Advanced Trainers - Peeing on Spiderman and feeling it!

by marytara marytara is a Lead on Epinions in Kids & Family, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Jul 05 '04
Pros: Definitely a good concept, my son likes the spiderman pattern.
Cons: Only one size, Spiderman wouldn't have been my first choice.
I feel as if I have been potty training my 3 1/2 year old son for years now. We first embarked on the potty training journey around the age of 2, when he began to express curiousity. Unfortunately that curiousity was not long lasted and back to diapers ...

Feel 'n Learn Advanced Trainers Did NOT Advance our Training!

by marybatson Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Sep 21 '04
Pros: ● Wetness liner ● Spiderman, Hulk, and Dora designs
Cons: ● Expensive ● Not for bedtime wear ● Not enough sizes
Why is it that potty training goes smoothly for some, while others struggle so much? Is it the method? Is it the parenting style? Is it the parent, or the child? I’m inclined to think it’s a bit of all the above, but I certainly don’t ...

Pampers Feel 'n Learn Advanced Trainers

by artemis8 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Feb 07 '07
Pros: cute designs, can see when the child has wet themselves.
Cons: no Velcro sides, wetness feeling didn't work, don't make smaller size
My son recently potty trained and one of the disposable training pants we used were the Pampers Feel 'n Learn Advanced Trainers. The ones for boys come with Spiderman and friends. The girl ones have Dora. We used the Spidey ones. Right off the ...

Feeling. . . yes. . . Learning. . . .yet to be seen

by sshelle Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Aug 31 '04
Pros: acceptable design, allows child to feel wetness, holds as much as a diaper
Cons: too snug, borderline too small, sides not refastenable
I couldn't wait for these to hit the market. Diapers are so absorbent that kids can't feel that they're wet, so how are they supposed to know when they 'need to go' if they never learn when they 'went'? My daughter doesn't mind sitting around in wet ...

Pampers Feel 'n Learn Advanced Trainers: Anyone Want a Three-Year-Old for Oh, Six Months?

by pippadaisy Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Jun 27 '05
Pros: they really do feel wet
Cons: we aren't any closer to potty training
Potty training is the bane of my existence. The constant pressure you feel from everyone around you, all of whom apparently had children potty trained in a day three days after their first birthday, compounded by an upcoming school start in September, ...

Pampers Feel N Learn - Not Feeling or Learning

by mmcphee Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Jan 16 '09
Pros: Hmm, not feeling this at all
Cons: It's a leaky diaper
Boys are definitely different from girls when it comes to potty training. I am so done changing diapers, unfortunately my son isn't done using them. My mother bought us a pack of Pampers Feel n Learn Training Pants because she seems to have had ...

Pros: By registering at www.pampers.com you will receive samples and coupons in the mail.
Cons: She got a rash from the wet training pants
For those of you who have children you know that potty training is the beginning of independence for your little one. Our 28 month old daughter has been interested in the potty for the past month. We began our quest to train her right before her ...

Finally something that I have been asking for years!

by maglib , Sep 08 '04
Pros: Child and furniture is kept dry while they can learn from their mistakes. Wonderful!
Cons: High Price and no size options. One size fits most usually doesn't work.
Let's start by saying that I have 3 boys. I have gone through potty training with the first two already and am working with the third. Prior to trying these training pants, my 16 month old was definitely showing interest and had even gone on the potty a ...

One Size Fits ALL? Can they REALLY feel the wetness?

by kc2002mom , Jul 24 '04
Pros: Good concept/ good alternative to messy cloth trainers or diapers with tabs
Cons: Product not well developed enough - Only comes in one size/ not enough wetness feeling
I was so excited to see this new product on the market, as I have been trying all different ways to potty train my now 2 1/2 yr old daughter for the past 7 months, with no success. (I had tried training pants with vinyl covers, but the pee still leaked ...

Pampers Feel and Learn: What's wrong with a regular Pull-Up?

by mustang4ever , Jan 08 '05
Pros: stretch sides, thin, Dora the Explorer design
Cons: no easy open sides, don't let children feel wet, expensive
Okay I have no idea who's idea it was to make and produce this training pant, but they should go back to the drawing board and think of ways to renovate the idea. In the past, when my daughter was about two, The only choices of training pants there ...

Great Concept but...

by AnnEliz5 , Feb 27 '05
Pros: disappearing 'wet' indicator, fun designs
Cons: Daughter got bad rash from "WET" liner! sides don't breathe well.
My daughter is 21 mos old and has been using the potty of her own accord since about 17 mos old. Until I bought these training pants, I would dress her in a diaper, which she can't get off by herself, and then would undress her to use the potty. I was ...

"Feel and Learn" to Avoid These!!!!

by momtograyson , Jul 14 '05
Pros: tear away sides
Cons: leak everything, cost, fit
I used Pampers Swaddlers and Pampers Cruisers on my son the whole time he was in diapers, because other brands gave him horrible diaper rash. When we got to the potty training stage, I found the Pampers Feel 'n Learn trainers and was excited to try them ...

Please Don't Buy These!
by jchapkovich ,Dec 13 '04
Pros: None
Cons: Everything! Please don't buy these!
I decided to purchase these because we thought maybe if our son felt damp he'd want to have his diaper changed and soon enough get tired of it and we could start our potty training. Bad idea. These are horrible! They didn't leak but they gave our son awful diaper rash! I wasn't sure if it even was the Feel'n Learns at first but when we switched back to the size 6 of the Pampers Premium we were convinced! Don't waste your money!

My daughter's poor butt was on fire!!!!!
by bmwpp7479 ,Oct 07 '04
Pros: They are cute and they slide on.
Cons: They gave my child a horrible diaper rash...and she never had one before this.
I bought these diapers because I have been using Pampers for my daughter since she was born. She is now 18 months old, and I thought these would be cute. I also thought they could help her learn when to tell me she must go on the potty.

Well, lets just say that having a cute pink diaper with Dora on it does not make up for the horrible rash my daughter got when she wore them. Her bottom was so raw it made me feel so bad for her. She had never gotten a diaper rash before this, so I knew it had to be the diapers. She is pretty good at telling me when she has to go to the bathroom, so I know she was never sitting in a wet diaper for a long period of time.

I have decided these diapers did not teach my daughter anything about potty training, and she ended up with a bottom as red as an apple. When you put a wet sensation liner near a child's sensitive bottom...it is a recipe for trouble.

CAUSES DIAPER RASH!
by sacnette ,Nov 17 '04
Pros: Wetness liner??? Dora
Cons: Causes diaper rash
My 28 month old daughter never gets diaper rash. I tried these diapers because I thought they could help us with the potty training. She has gotten a tremendous rash seemingly instantly twice with these diapers. The first time she wore them her butt was instantly red. Could it be the liner causing this? I went back to having her wear just underwear for a while. A few days later I tried the diapers again. She only wore them for a couple hours and she was hardly wet, but again her butt was burning. I am writing this after having my heart broken from my daughter screaming in agony. I can only guess that these diapers somehow irritate the skin as I see other people have had the same problem. It's a shame, too, because it the premise seemed like such a good idea and my daughter loves Dora.

Pampers feel and learn???
by jandaplus2 ,May 11 '05
Pros: noting
Cons: DON'T WORK pick a better character on the boys
I have a 2 1/2 year old and we just started to potty train and I bought the feel and learn thinking that he hates to feel wet. Well you really don't feel much.. He leaked through the pamper so i went to feel it to see how wet it does get... IT was just barley damp. I wont ever use them again. Back to the thick trainer undies and the rubber pants. at least then it is cheaper...

I am SHOCKED!!!! They Work!!!
by baco-bits ,Apr 26 '06
Pros: Prompts ready child to train himself
Cons: Expensive
I bought these several months ago for my soon-to-be three year old, and thought they were SUCH a waste of money. They were super soft and even less soggy than regular Pampers. Then I was at Target and they had them on clearance for $5.00 for 66 diapers, so I bought them figuring they were cheap and were fine as regular diapers as long as I didn't have any expectations. My son immediately began changing his own diaper, and using the potty a majority of the time. I was completely shocked!!! So I the bought Pull-ups and he stopped using the potty again. These definitely work. I think it's important to buy the size up(I bought him the 3T-4T and he is not yet 3) I haven't had trouble with leaking except when the diaper is REALLY full, he has a sensitive bum, and I haven't had a problem with that either, although he will change himself quite often. The bummer about this is well, when he is not just wet. But if I can't find these again I'm switching to cloth training pants....

BAD experience
by ladyjanerude ,Apr 05 '05
Pros: SPIDERMAN
Cons: seeing my son wince when i have to clean his infected legs!
I' m faithful to pampers and decided to use the feel and learns for my potty training 2 1/2 year old. Within a few days i noticed a small red blister in the diaper area. Within 24 hours this blister spread and opened and he started developing other small red blisters down both legs. I took him to the doctor thinking it was chicken pox and i was told it was an INFECTION from diaper rash. He went on antibiotics and switched training pants and the infection immediately cleared up, WITH the exception of all these red marks remaining where the blisters had been. I'm not happy and i wrote pampers to tell them so, right before i found this site. Hopefully i will be compensated for my open package which i refuse to use or offer to another parent.

Leak Terribly, Buyer Beware!
by gotaluvme786 ,May 09 '06
Pros: Dora design was a HUGE hit!
Cons: They leak so badly!
Similarly to another reviewer, we also used Pampers Swaddlers and Pampers Cruisers on the baby since she came home from the hospital. When we outgrew the Cruisers and moved on to the trainers, we were shocked to find out that these terrible diapers leaked! Figuring it was just an accident we tried them over a 2 week period and sure enough, though they fit snugly around the waist and thighs, somewhere along the way as they get filled with waste, they seem to lose the snug fit and leak out both sides!

Although we have the odd experience of a leak with Pull-Ups every now and then, it's usually due to improper placement of the diaper on the bottom, ie, it may be slightly off-center. We have never had such a bad experience with a Pampers product as these trainers though!

Not worth high price
by lindalouisa ,Aug 05 '05
Pros: Did not leak
Cons: Disappearing design too hard for kids to see
We tried these and they did not work. The disappearing design should be higher, my daughter practically tipped over trying to see if her stars or bubbles were still there.

Oh, if only i had read the reviews before buying these ....
by marmalade4 ,Jan 03 '06
Pros: The fit was great, the side panels are softer and nicer than the Huggies Pull-Ups.
Cons: Rash, rash and more rash. Insta-rash.
Our little girl is potty trained, except at night. We bought the feel n' learn not because of the feel n' learn, but because Dora was on them. She woke up the next morning with the only rash of her three short years. So disappointing, to have this from Pampers.

Didn't "feel " or " learn " anything
by jennifer927 ,Jun 09 '05
Pros: Dora is on the front , feel soft like underwear
Cons: don't feel when wet , leaks badly , rips too easily
I purchased this training pants for the first time when my daughter saw Dora on the side of them and begged me to buy them. It was time for a new attempt at potty training so I decided to try these. I liked the fact that were soft and thinner than regular diapers. They in no way helped my daughter with potty training . she didn't even notice she was wet until the diaper started leaking all over the place . I also didn't like the fact that every time we pulled them down they ripped. I don't think I will be purchasing these again .

What I was looking for...............NOT
by kwaj ,Jul 10 '06
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
My son is 3 years old and I was trying to potty train him. So I bought them at Walgreens. My son said "Mommy it looks like a diaper." So he went and did not feel anything. He is suppose to feel when he was wet but he did not. He went all day with pee in his pants he did no tell me he went pee. So I finally changed him and the side were so hard to open up and the front did not absorb as much as I was expecting. So I decided to try it a couple of more times. When my son went poop in it, it was so messy it did not absorb much because it is thin. Never use Feel and Learn.
