Pros: Compact, no overflow problems, looks nice Cons: Weak, bland coffee, buttons on front can get accidentally bumped
I recently moved to a new house, and decided the big coffee maker was overkill, and all I needed was a 4-cup model. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so looking at the options I decided on the Mr. Coffee DRX5 for $19, since it had all the ...
Pros: Inexpensive to buy and use Cons: None for us
Johnny starts each morning with his coffee and his paper. When you are eighty-eight years old you are entitled to a few routines. His old coffee maker became unreliable. We found this Mr. Coffee four cup coffee maker at a good price at Target. We brought ...
Pros: Looks Nice on My Countertop Cons: Not Worth Taking Home - Even If It Was FREE
UPDATE; On February 4, 2006 this Mr. Coffee quietly passed away at the ripe old age of 3 1/2 months. No, the innards did not get wet and he didn't emit any smoke. About 1/4 of the way through a brew cycle, Mr. Coffee just decided to stop heating - ...
Pros: Compact, inexpensive, good coffee, fair price, 1 hour auto shutoff. Cons: Bad timer/clock, pause and serve is quirky (as they all are)
I bought this coffeemaker at one of the large discount stores (the one with the red target as a logo) for $20. I chose it over the $15 model with no timer, as I like to know the time when I'm making coffee. In the short form, the extra features ...
Pros: Compact, doesn't take up much space, quick brewing, easy to use and clean. Cons: None (unless you want large amounts of coffee at once).
We don't drink much coffee, so had used instant. But the smell of brewing coffee make drinking a cup even more satisfying, so we decided a coffee maker would be a good item to add to our gift registry. While looking online at Target.com, I ...
Pros: standard features, low price, easy to use Cons: flimsy lid, a little slow for some people
I have had the DRX5 for a few months now, and it has done everything I need it to do--no more, no less. It's a good solution for a single coffee-drinker. In terms of value, it's a pretty good deal. For around $20, you get the ability to brew two ...
Pros: Makes good coffee. Easy to clean. Fully programmable. Cons: A full pot only pours two cups of coffee (not 4).
My daughter bought this for me as a Mother's Day present last year. Though I have a house full of people, believe it or not, I am the only coffee drinker. Until she bought this coffee maker for me, I made instant coffee every morning. Now I can ...
Pros: Delay brew/Heatplate/Coffee grounds do not splash back/Basket must seat or top won't close Cons: Breakable carafe/Turns on even without water
For many years I've had a Black & Decker "Single" serving mug type coffee maker. It's major problem was that the grounds would splash up and coat the water dispenser. It would also dump the water on the counter if the basket was not seated correctly, ...
Pros: Takes up minimal space, easy to use Cons: Only makes 1 1/12 cups, hard to find filters, weak coffee
I've been using the Mr. Coffee programmable 4 cup coffee maker for about 2 months now. I have the DRX5, which is the programmable coffee maker. The only difference I can see between the DR4 on the Mr. Coffee web site (www.mrcoffeestore.com) is that it ...
Pros: Looks nice on the counter, nicely designed clock display, doesn't take up much room Cons: Coffee Maker leaks, Flaky brew delay setting inexplicably causes clock to gain/lost time. Mediocre
I received this Mr. Coffee as a gift for my birthday last year. I started using it regularly in December. It's not the great, but it looks nice. That said, I'm noticing its quirks. Sure, it has a clock and timer. It worked a couple times for ...
COMPACT, MAKES GOOD COFFEE by sandy_14_43 ,Sep 17 '06
Pros: Convenient shut-off. Has timer button. Cons: I have no con about this product
I like the feature of making 1-4 cups. I only drink one cup of coffee a day, but the extra cups allow me to make more in case of unexpected company. I have never had any problems with the coffeemaker in the year I have had it. As with any coffeemaker, works best with filtered water and not tap water. The cost was perfect at the price of $20 at a top discount store. I especially like the one hour auto shut off as occasionally I forget to turn it off before going to work.
What else could you want in a progammable 4-cup machine? by pippintwosie ,Aug 05 '09
Pros: Compact, pours easily, auto shut-off, cord storage and two sided water gauge Cons: You have to click the lid closed (which I believe enables the pause-and-serve feature)
This machine is nicely compact and easy to use. It makes the coffee hot and bold. I have owned Mr. Coffee products before and have found them to be a reliable and decent manufacturer. The only thing that bothers me is when you are rinsing the pot out - the lid isn't so easy to flip open with your thumb. All in all it's no big deal.
