Pros: Fuller hair! Manageable hair! Cons: More expensive than drugstore shampoos (but worth it!)
Baby fine, super thin, dark hair on a very pale scalp ... maybe I'm paranoid, but I swear I have visions of the balding lunch lady when I'm having a bad hair day!!!! My mom, brother, husband and children are all blessed with thick full heads of hair, but...

Pros: Over time it does make hair appear thicker. Pleasant smell. Cons: Expensive, available only in a salon.
Amplify Volumizing Shampoo
My daughter got hooked on Amplify shampoo a year ago after she had her hair cut and styled at our salon. Her beautician recommended Amplify to her, and even though it was very expensive, $6 for an 8 ounce bottle,...
Pros: provides bounce and softness, revived curl! Cons: Maybe price, but its worth every dollar!
I have tried everything to bring life to my wavy (almost curly) hair. My hair is very fine but, I do have a lot of it. I am also cursed that the front of my hair around my face is really straight and the rest is wavy/curly. It is so hard to get the front ...
Brought my thick hair back to life! by amna81 ,Apr 20 '06
Pros: Smoother, shinier, bouncier hair Cons: Price! And should be accompanied by the similar conditioner.
I have thick,curly/wavy, frizzy south-asian hair and I know what some of you may be thinking: you don't need a shampoo that 'amplifies'! I thought the same so I bought many different 'sleek-look' shampoos including Matrix Sleek. Unfortunately, it didn't work as well even with the accompanying conditioner. I bought Matrix Amplify because it was on a clearance sale and I thought what the heck, it can't damage my hair anymore than it already is. This shampoo took me by surprise. My hair became smoother, shinier and healthier looking than before. It also reduced the frizziness somewhat. The good thing is I can use it everyday and it won't damage my hair. My hair looks much better because of the newly added bounce plus it's so much easier to manage now.
My purpose for writing this review was to let people know that just because you have thick hair, doesn't mean that you shouldn't use this amazing product. I hope it works just as well for others as it has for me.
Pros: Does exactly what it says it will do. Cons: Need to buy entire line to achieve desired volume.
I've always had limp, less than dramatic hair. I've used everything from the generic store brand to super expensive exclusive lines. I finally decided to give Matrix's Amplify line a shot. My stylist at that time recommended it because she herself used it.
After the first use I noticed a HUGE difference in my hair. Literally. My hair felt thick and most importantly, it looked thick. I was so happy with the results.
I've been using this product ever since, and will never change to anything else. I am a devoted Matrix fan now.
After using it for four months, I'm a believer by curvy-guy ,Jan 07 '06
Pros: It really works! Cons: None.
I'm reluctant to believe reviews that are written after someone has used a product for a brief period of time. That's why I've been waiting to share my views. The bottom line is this stuff works. I have never in my life had thick hair... until now. I've noticed the change, my hairdresser has noticed the change, and I was even complimented last week by someone on how unfair it was that I had so much hair! For a girl that has struggled all her life to have hair that kept a style and didn't fall flat, I'm on cloud nine.
I do have to say that, since using this shampoo, conditioner is no longer an option. Because it's so thick now (tee-hee-hee) it's hard to get a comb through it unless I use a conditioner. Small price to pay for the hair I've always wanted! I also use the Amplify conditioner and between the two of them I have luscious, full, soft, shiny hair :o)
