Lincoln road had a much more relaxed atmosphere than the rest of Miami Beach. There are many restaurants in this mall. I had a nice dinner outside at the Van Dyke Cafe. Do not miss the building which contains artists' studios. You can watch them work and see their work. Many types of art are represented. There are also many expensive stores.

Lincoln Road Mall is not a shopping mall like you know them from the upper east coast. It is more a very European style pedestrian area which has shops and restaurants on both sides.
There are many restaurants on Lincoln Road Mall and they all have basically open-air dining - which is nice and possible in Florida year-round.
Between the restaurants you find also shops: Some of the known chains like Banana Republic, but also other smaller, independent shops. Some really sophisticated and upscale.

So if you like to stroll around in the evening and look at some shops, and get something for dinner under the open sky - Lincoln Road is a great place.
You can find also cafes or icecream-shops, where you can enjoy a snack or an icecream treat.

You should be aware that you will meet many gay guys on Lincoln Road. It seems to be a meeting spot for them or a convenient and comfy road/mall to go. There are many gay couples.

If you come by car, you will find some parking lots around the block where you can park your car. Most of them have meters, so bring enough quarters!
