Pros: Great print for photos and color text; aesthetic design Cons: No USB cable provided; slightly bulky
I owned a Lexmark Jetprinter 7000 for about 4 years before the roller inside started to break and I couldn't print anymore. That was my first Lexmark and I was always impressed with its quality text prints [especially its almost-laser black prints].

Pros: Excellent quality, quiet, no jams, great drivers, USB or Parallel Cons: Slow, big, expensive cartridges
I managed to pick a Z55 up in PC World (UK Chain store similar to Circuit City) for £69 ($110 US) and have to say that I am very pleased with my purchase.
I had looked at almost every other major manufacturer and the 2 things which the...
Pros: fast, inexpensive, easy to refill ink Cons: paper can have trouble keeping up
I bought this printer because I thought I wanted a direct printer cable and not USB. So I installed the driver (easy) and waited while the thing paused several seconds between every line. The thing was going right back to the store on the printer...
Pros: Awesome print quality, price, and speed Cons: Paper feed isn't a tray
Well I was looking for a printer for my aunt who is completely computer illiterate and I have always used Hewlett Packard. Now don't get me wrong thats a good company but why would you want to pay for the name instead of saving $50? We went into Best...
Pros: Space saving printer with crisp, clear quality Cons: It's slow
We needed a color printer since the Epson we had purchased never really worked. I have a great HP laser printer but it only prints in black and white. With so many choices on the market, it took some time to decide which printer to buy.
After owning a Lexmark Z32 for over a year with very few problems, I decided to go with another Lexmark. After a few visits to several local stores I decided on the Lexmark Z55 from Best Buy. They were offering it for $129. The sales person easily talked...
Pros: Stunning picture quality, excellent fast black printing, and never jams... Cons: Bulky, paper tray is too short, noisy during some tasks
Let me first say that I have been a lexmark customer for many years now, and if their products maintain their level of quality, I will be a customer for life! I used to own a z52 by lexmark, and I absolutely loved it (see my old review), but during a...
Pros: Very Fast, excellent text and image quality; Both full Cartridges included Cons: Slightly bulky; no USB cord
When at Office Max, I was looking for a printer that included both ink cartridges, as these days they all seem to include the color cartridge that you must use to get just text printing. Quite a waste if you ask me. I felt to get both cartridges...
Pros: Good graphics Cons: Text disappointing, high ink consumption
I had great expectations for this printer when I ordered it as an upgrade to a Dell computer that I had recently purchased. The specs looked impressive and I wanted a printed that did not crinkle envelopes while printing them as my trusty old HP did....
Pros: Inexpensive, long ink life. Cons: Expensive inks, ugly & oversized design, noisy jams, weak rollers and bad photo quality printing.
I had this printer for about 2 years before it gave out. Ink tanks lasted a while but were expensive. Photo quality was not that great and the printer was noisy and very big. Aesthetically it was ugly and far to big. Paper would constantly jam and finally the rollers gave out. I am not a big printer user and this should have lasted much longer.
ABSOLUTE DISASTER AND NIGHTMARE by arame29 ,Feb 19 '04
Pros: When it DID complete a print job (rare), print quality was clear. Cons: Keeps dropping dead, noisy, unattractive.
I bought a re-furbished Z55 that came with the same warranty as new. After installing the drivers, the printer would just drop dead in the middle of a job and the blinking lights would come on, indicating a cartridge short.
Lexmark sent me another one overnight. Same problem.
I changed the cartridges.
I changed USB cables three times.
I tried using parallel cables.
Same deal.
Is it my port? No. My mouse works fine when hooked up to USB.
Futile, unpardonable, never again will I come within 50 yards of anything with the name "Lexmark" on it.
